Narrative
The days ahead are marked with uncertainly for Christians. Though we will walk through times of struggle, we must remember to press toward the mark. Sorrow may remain for the night, but rejoicing will come in the morning. Many will be in utter chaos with the end of times, but the Christian people have a hope in the soon return of their lord and savior, Jesus Christ.
Pastor Jim gives an outcry for people to be prepared for their families for the upcoming days. The Lord has given him many different prophecies, which should stir even the weakest Christian. Now is the time to arise and prepare for the days ahead.
As we face these uncertain times, preparation is the key. God has given each person the greatest gift and that is time to be ready. Through His holy Word, God is allowing us the time and knowledge to ensure that we have prepared the way for our families to be safe. Though the church will not experience the entire tribulation times, there is still much uncertainly on how much they actually will face. Keeping the commandments of the Lord and preparing for His soon return, is what should be on the forefront of every Christian’s mind.
Lori shared her testimony about how she never thought much about preparation, until after Katrina. She stated that when the people from New Orleans were brought to Branson, she got involved in helping find temporary homes for them. She never realized until that point, the importance of having a plan for emergencies. She began putting together survival kits for each of her family members. Though these kits took a great deal of her time and energy, she states it is the greatest gift she could give to her loved ones.
As the Christmas season is approaching, it is important to remember that Christ is the reason for Christmas. While everyone is sharing their gifts and dinner with loved ones, we need to remember to take time to celebrate the birth of the babe in the manger, nearly 2,000 years ago.
