My Daily Walk (Pt. 2)

I will humble myself and walk daily in humility before my God

Isaiah 57:15

And this is the reason: God lives forever and is holy. He is high and lifted up. He says, “I live in a high and holy place, but I also live with people who are sad and humble. I give new life to those who are humble and to those whose hearts are broken.

Matthew 18:2-4

Jesus called a little child to him and stood the child before his followers. Then he said, “I tell you the truth, you must change and become like little children. Otherwise, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. The greatest person in the kingdom of heaven is the one who makes himself humble like this child.

1 Samuel 15:17-23

Samuel said, “Once you didn’t think much of yourself, but now you have become the leader of the tribes of Israel. The LORD appointed you to be king over Israel. And he sent you on a mission. He said, ‘Go and destroy those evil people, the Amalekites. Make war on them until all of them are dead.’ Why didn’t you obey the LORD? Why did you take the best things? Why did you do what the LORD said was wrong?”

Saul said, “But I did obey the LORD. I did what the LORD told me to do. I destroyed all the Amalekites, and I brought back Agag their king.  The soldiers took the best sheep and cattle to sacrifice to the LORD your God at Gilgal.” But Samuel answered, “What pleases the LORD more: burnt offerings and sacrifices or obedience to his voice? It is better to obey than to sacrifice. It is better to listen to God than to offer the fat of sheep. Disobedience is as bad as the sin of sorcery. Pride is as bad as the sin of worshiping idols. You have rejected the LORD’s command. Now he rejects you as king.”

Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things the LORD hates. There are seven things he cannot stand: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that kill innocent people, a mind that thinks up evil plans, feet that are quick to do evil, a witness who lies, and someone who starts arguments among families.

Proverbs 16:5-8

The LORD hates those who are proud. They will surely be punished. Love and truth bring  forgiveness of sin. By respecting the LORD you will avoid evil. When people live so that they please the LORD, even their enemies will make peace with them. It is better to be poor and right than to be wealthy and dishonest.

    Dear Sir,
Thank you for sharing the things that are close to your heart.
Friends, it’s wonderful when we have faith in the lord Jesus. How in Mark 5:42..And straightway the damsel arose, and walked;…(KJV)
How she straight away got up and walked with Jesus. We know friends that with our faith in Jesus’ love we not only can move mountains but we can walk anywhere with Jesus.
That terrible feeling when one’s spirit feels cold, close to death, hurting, and then one day we discover Jesus, and we get up and walk and talk with him because he lets us and loves us.
Our tears of sadness friends turn to tears of pure joy as Jesus fills our hearts. We feel like running and yet Jesus gently walks with no rush and slows us to walk at the right pace in life, as the hectic by-passers rush by. We also know friends that that young girl’s heart, mind and soul lit up with god our father as she walked with Jesus. So thank you sweet Jesus for being so kind to us believers in you, and helping us to walk to a better life. In your sweet precious name. Amen.
Thank you sir for sharing your walk with Jesus.
    Kind regards,
    God bless.

  2. Hi Jim! i love your ministry. i was watching you this morning, and you were teaching on matthew 24. you said something about Jesus turning water into wine, you said something like, it wasnt really important, but you shouldnt get drunk..something like that. but i have to disagree if you dont mind..Jesus never turned water into fermented wine..this has never been taught properly that i know of. i think because people have never heard it taught right from the pulpit, is i believe the main reason we have functional alcoholics in the church today! people who think its ok to go home after chruch and have a lite beer or wine with dinner after being in church praising God all morning. its sin! David Wilkerson has a book out on this very subject, he wrote it in 1978, called, “Sipping Saints” have you heard of it? its an amazing and convicting little book.. after reading it, i never looked at casual drinking the same. i domt drink. i dispise it deeply. i know what alcolhol does to people. the enemy uses it to destroy lives. its a tragedy. but i just wanted to share my thoughts with you. God Bless!

  3. I just read most of those verses. They keep us in God’s perspective. Great read! Thank you Pastor Jim.
