Will We Go Through the Tribulation? (Pt. 11)

Jesus Could Come For You

Conclusion

My former teaching that “Jesus could come today” I now regard as a half-truth.  For you, Jesus could come today.  You could meet with some accident or die of natural causes and be swept into His presence in a heartbeat.  But as for Jesus coming back for the Church as a whole, certain events must yet take place before that can happen.

For instance, Paul wrote,

Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. (2 Thess. 2:3-4 NKJV)

Notice, Jesus will not return until after there has been a great falling away from the truth and the Antichrist has risen to power by promising to bring normalcy to a world whose stability and security is convulsing.  Paul continued,

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.  And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.  The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. (2 Thess. 2:7-10 NKJV)

Paul is implying that the Holy Spirit now retrains the Antichrist from catapulting to power, but one day soon that hold hindrance will be removed, and the Antichrist will be revealed to the world.  At that time the world will be clamoring for peace, but this false messiah will bring just the opposite.  “For when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman.  And they shall not escape” (1Thess. 5:3 NKJV).

If your hope is in this world, get ready for the ride of your life.  The material systems of this world, the harlot of Revelation, are about to be destroyed!

The End of the “Will We Go Through the Tribulation” Series

Though the words above were written more than 12 years ago, they were never more true than they are today.

  1. Jim,

I don’t agree with you that the church will go through the 7 year Trib. Why would God let His bride get all beat up during this time? I believe the Bible is quite clear, that there will be a PreTribulational Rapture. Yes there will be people that get saved during the Trib after the church is gone. These Christians will suffer martydom by being beheaded for refusing to take the Mark of the Beast. The Bible is cronological in it’s teachings. When you study the book of revelation, it xlearly states that first the Rapture takes place, then the wedding supper of the Lamb, then the Bema Seat judgements of the Christians, then the Lords return with His saints at the end of the Tribulation. Your belief in a post Trib Rapture does not line up with the Word. It’s called the yo yo theory, being that, at the end of the Trib we get raptured then immediatley we come back with the Lord. If that were so, then, why does it say that the church is in Heaven at the wedding supper of the Lamb while the Trib is taking place?

  2. This is so true , I was taught this years ago at age17, that we would go through at lest 3 & a half years of Tribulation and im now 63 yrs old! I feel like you that we are now in those last days , all the signs are coming to past ! Im watching the middle east and mostly Israel, I feel I will see the Lords return in my life time , but if not I will not miss anything for I will be raised from the dead to see it! God Bless you Bro Jim , Keep preaching the Truth and reviling to us what God is showing you!

  3. CORRECT RAPTURE THEOLOGY: JIM IS RIGHT! HERE’S PROOF:

LAST TRUMPET THEOLOGY: 1st Cor 15:51,52-says that the resurrection of the dead in Christ comes at LAST TRUMPET. Rev 11:15-18- says that the blowing of 7th and “last trumpet” signifies “the time of the dead in Christ to be judged and rewarded for their service for the Lord.” (The Resurrection!)(Can’t reward’em without raising them from the dead… )

LAST DAY THEOLOGY: John 6:37-40 Jesus said He would resurrect believers at (or “on”-same word in Greek) the LAST DAY. Revelation 10:5-7 indicates that the blowing of the LAST TRUMPET also signifies that “TIME SHALL BE NO MORE” for the believers… Hence-the “LAST DAY” -of recorded time spoken of in John 6.

FIRST RESURRECTION THEOLOGY: Revelation 20:4-6 says plainly that the FIRST RESURRECTION comes AFTER the cruel reign of the Antichrist, and the beheading of many Christians. If that’s the first one, then which one is it talking about in 1st Thess 4:16-18 when it says that, “THE DEAD IN CHRIST SHALL RISE FIRST,”(THE RESURRECTION)and then we which are still alive will follow AFTER in the RAPTURE, or “catching away?” It has to be speaking of the same resurrection, which comes AFTER the Antichrist’s reign; otherwise, the one in Rev 20 couldn’t be the FIRST ONE!(Also, it proves the rapture and resurrection are the same event! …not 7 years apart, and not BEFORE the Antichrist’s reign on earth. The dead are raised and we are “caught up” or “raptured” with them in one big event!) “CAUGHT UP” means “RAPTIO” in Latin. The word “RAPTURE” comes from this.

  4. Praise God for your openness and willingness to acknowledge a change in your understanding from holding to and advocating a “former teaching” which, to this day, probably continues (at least in the U.S.) to be the more popular and more comfortable to accept. Thank you for being one more voice to encourage others to carefully examine what God’s Word says in this regard!!

  5. we are in the great trib right now. abortion is the great trib.

the great apostasy is believing JESUS is on the white horse at rev. 19:11-16. it is anti-christ who are abortionists. out of his mouth comes a sharp 2edged sword but hebrews tells us “the word of GOD is sharper than any 2edged sword.

  6. Thanks Mike W the post was enlightening. Deb I believe Jim believes
the Last Trump. From what I understand, and the Seventh Trumpet
sounded. Also Rabbi Schneider the Jewish Jesus program has stated
the same. Don’t be afraid Deb, Jesus said I will never leave you
nor forsake you. Fear not, for I am with you. I will strengthen
you, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
Corrie Ten Boom asked a question about a train as a child. Papa
when do we get out ticket. He said, not until we are ready to board.
Should the time ever come, we have to come face to face with fear.
God gives us the strength then. He holds the ticket. We can face
tomorrow not knowing what it holds for we know who holds our tomorrows.

  7. i am shocked and sad as i was a pre-trib believer then after watching Jim a mid-trib[i hoped] but i guess he thinks we will go through it all. will we be martyered for not taking the mark? i wish i could just think farther ahead but am fearful of whats to come.

    • Romans 14:8 New International Version (NIV)
8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

What could be more comforting than this truth?

I don’t intend to stay in this world for eternity.

Be a Berean. Search the Scriptures, Don’t rely on interpretation and commentaries of men. Even this commentary.

Acts 17:11 New International Version (NIV)
11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what PAUL said was true.

Imagine, even what Paul, the Apostle of Jesus Christ who went to the Third Heaven, has said we must examine? Would you not dare examine what your Pastors are preaching?

      Romans 14;22-23
22 So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves. 23 But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.[c]

  8. Talking about the antichrist, I can’t help but think about the
Mark of the Beast. I am not sure what it is. I have a perception
it may be a chip. As I have said before, I don’t know everything.
There is a place in Palm Bch. Florida called Digital Angel.
They are making chips to implant humans with it. I heard a woman
talking about it. She was so excited and said I want to be first
in line. I’m thinking, I don’t want it. From what I understand they
are planning to have everyone chipped by 2017. By the way, love
my Seychelle pitcher. I feel so much better drinking the pure
water. Have given up soda’s, cut back on coffee. It pays for
itself in that alone. I believe we need to be physically fit to
run the race that is ahead of us.

    • As we can read in chapter 8 of Ezekiel there is idolatry in the temple. Ezeliel writes in 9:3-4,”Now the glory of the God of Israel went up from above the cheubim (on top of the atonement cover of the ark of the covenant) where it had been, and moved to the threshold of the temple. Then the LORD called to the man clothed in linen(verse 2)who had a writing kit at his side and said to him, “Go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things (detest the sin) that are done in it.”

The word mark in the Hebrew is “taw” which is we can also find in Psalm 119:169-175. In the modern Hebrew a “taw” almost looks like a small “n”. In the older Hebrew the “taw” looks like a “t or x or t” (the cross) which has been found on old Hebrew coins and gems.

The mark of the beast is “in” your mind or “in” your hands (if you are the beast’s servant). The Apostle Paul wrote concerning the renewing of the mind. We think before we act.God knows our thoughts and watches from heaven. God is a cardio(heart)knower.

I hope this is helpful. God Bless! Mike

    • I agree with Louise.. God has put it on my heart to be physically fit in the last days.. I know I need to be a strong warrior for Christ. Thankyou Jim for being here and being the watchman. I remember when you first spoke a word of knowledge to me.. i was 10 yrs old. It was on the 700 club. I knew then you were a man of God and I have supported you for over 40 yrs now. my pitchers are here and I am waiting on my food. Please please Christians, be ready to meet the King. How wonderful, the King is coming!!!

  9. Your teachings are very accurate quite interesting there is a person saying the world will end May 21st this confirms what you have just said about false teaching. may Yeshua Jim keep the faith walk in his light for you shall receive great .in heaven well deserved brother Shalom

    • During the past couple of weeks followers of the false prophet you are speaking of have been on one of the busiest streets in our city, across from a very busy mall, carrying signs professing the end is May 21st of this year. They definitely are not aware of what Jesus, Apostle Paul, and Apostle John says or of Pastor Jim’s teachings. God Bless! Mike

  10. Pastor Jim,

At first I did not really care for your show, my Grandmother watches you and to be honest it got on my nerves. I will have to say your teaching has grown on me, and I strongly agree with your teachings, I have always thought to myself that believers will go threw the tribulation, im not well educated in Gods word, and what I have read I have tried to put the pieces together on my own. You have explained it the best I have ever hear, and I thank the Lord for your teaching. I love your honesty and how You shown yourself approved by God, no matter if you have been to prison or not. You are not ashamed and I respect you for that. I am not strong in the Lord and fear I have a long ways to go. God bless you and Lori
