Pastor Jim & Lori welcome John Shorey as they discuss David Wilkerson’s book Racing Towards Judgement for Day 3 on The Jim Bakker Show.

Quotes

There’s too many people that are comfortable with this life. This is not our home! We’re passing through! Our purpose for being here is to bring people along with us to the place that God has for us. This is just rubbish compared to what God has for us! -John Shorey

Matthew 24:7 NCV Nations will fight against other nations; kingdoms will fight against other kingdoms. There will be times when there is no food for people to eat, and there will be earthquakes in different places.

  1. I do believe that Dave Wilkerson was a prophet, although he never said he was — he always felt God was laying this on his heart. What bothers me is that you do not talk about giving hope to the believer – Jesus said He would never leave us or forsake us. Granted I only watched a couple of programs as I work. I wish you would give hope to the believer…. Do you believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ? You talked about seven years of food – just curious. Thank you.

    • Dear Lois,

We most definitely believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and we believe that there will be tough times immediately preceding this event, as outlined in Matthew 24, Luke 21 and the Book of Revelation. The scripture you quoted, Hebrews 13:5, is one that is a ‘signature’ scripture that Pastor Jim quotes often on the broadcasts.

During the show, John Shorey also said this:

There’s too many people that are comfortable with this life. This is not our home! We’re passing through! Our purpose for being here is to bring people along with us to the place that God has for us. This is just rubbish compared to what God has for us!

The following scripture was also quoted:

I Corinthians 2:9 KJV But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Please continue to watch our show and as you watch, we are certain you will see that we are all about giving hope to the believers in Jesus Christ – and even more so to the unbelievers.
