Narrative
With Lori still away visiting relatives, Pastor Jim held down the hosting duties and began by recalling the trying times he and his family members went through at various times in the past, particularly when he was sentenced to prison and certain individuals, seeking to take advantage, stole the ministry and refused to let his family be part of it. He noted how some Christians have little patience with his children by first wife Tammy Faye and cast judgment on them. He then suggested that people should refrain from condemning any of them until they have walked a mile in their shoes.
With great sadness, he explained that his daughter, Tammy Sue, an inspirational vocalist, has not used her voice for song since the death of her mother. Pastor Jim then prophesied that God will restore her to singing and that she will record her next CD with the Master’s Choir, led by Pastor Cedric Hayes. Additionally, he foretold that his 16 year old son will also make a recording with the choir. He shared with Pastor Hayes his belief that God brought them together in order to get the Morningside Records recording studio up and running.
He then continued on with his Revelations series, in chapter eight, with focus on what will happen in the last days, when the first angel sounds his trumpet. He explained that the Bible indicates the magnitude of the events leaves those in heaven in a state of silent prayer, followed by the casting of a censer down to the earth’s surface and also on the people. This produces a number of reactions, including earthquakes, that precede the first angel sounding his trumpet.
Pastor Jim explained that, centuries ago, John the Revelator received a prophetic vision of what would happen 2000 years later and recorded the things he witnessed in what later became the book of Revelation. After the first trumpet blast, John saw fiery hail falling from the sky and Pastor Jim said this could signify a meteor or asteroid shower that plagues those on earth and serves as a sign that the day of God’s judgment has arrived.
He issued a reminder about the importance of storing up food and supplies for the time of trouble and stated that, if all churches prepared themselves, the body of Christ could serve many and reap a large harvest despite the hard times prophesied to afflict those on earth. “If all churches would be ready, we could bless people instead of curse them,” he said.
