Narrative
Pastor Jim and Lori welcomed Pastor John Kilpatrick, who told his hosts that he watches the program regularly and even supports the ministry by placing orders for some of the food items offered to help families and individuals prepare for the hard times and years ahead.
Pastor John went on to say that all signs of the Second Coming of Jesus are in motion, as is the spirit of the false prophet, which serves as a forerunner of the antichrist. He explained that deceiving the world plays a big role in the work of the false prophet who uses delusions and falsehoods that, once accepted by the masses, makes them more receptive to the antichrist once he comes on the scene. There is a point, however, where the two work together and remain together until, as the Bible foretells, the day of their casting into the pit. The two satanic powers will use political and religious systems to carry out their missions.
His explanation came in response to Pastor Jim expressing shock over a news story about a New England school that altered the words to the song “God Bless the U.S.A” so students would not have to refer to God while singing the tune during a school assembly. The words of the Lee Greenwood song were changed to “We love the U.S.A,” but due to outcry and protest from the community, school officials decided to forego the students singing any song at the school event. Pastor John said Christians should not be surprised about things happening that prophets foretold long ago.
He discussed the great revivals held during the mid-1990s when he led the Brownsville Assembly of God Church in Pensacola, Florida. The movement began on Father’s Day in 1995 and, over the next five years, more than four million people came to the church to take part in the miraculous outpouring of God’s spirit. Pastor John told of Pensacola’s significance as America’s first city founded by the Spanish who referred to the Mississippi River as the River of the Holy Spirit and nearby Mobile Bay, in Alabama, as the Bay of the Holy Spirit. The spiritual history of the area, he believes, may have something to do with God inspiring that great revival there.
