Spiritual Warfare and the End Times

There are times when I get weary of the battle.  I know the Word says not to be weary in well doing, but I’m not Sister Super Saint and I doubt you are either.  Is it just me, or does it seem like the spiritual battles are getting stronger and closer together in the last few years?

In Matthew 24, the Lord says that the signs of His coming (wars, earthquakes, signs in the heavens) will get closer and closer together and increase in intensity, like labor pains in a woman that is about to give birth.  I feel like the frequency and the intensity of the spiritual battles are picking up too.  Does anyone else out there feel the same thing?

In ministry, there are always battles to be fought and won.  We are not strangers to the wiles of our enemy, the devil, who does not want the word to go out that JESUS IS COMING SOON!  Our enemy is trying to get us to focus on things that are temporary, not eternal.  The devil will always do whatever he can to steal, kill and destroy everything and everyone that belongs to Jesus.  And the devil is mad – very mad – that his time is short.  But GREATER IS HE THAT IS WITHIN US – than he that is in the world.

Jesus, our Bridegroom, is coming soon – and we, His Bride, the Church, are looking and preparing for His coming!  The Bible tells us to  be ready!  In Matthew Chapter 25, we read about the parable of the ten virgins.  The Bible says that five were ready to meet the Bridegroom and these were called “prudent” or sensible, and five were not ready and these were called “foolish”.

Every single day, the Bible’s prophecies are coming to pass before our very eyes.  I’m convinced that the enemy of our souls is doing his best to distract us with the concerns of this world, so that we will not be focused on our Bridegroom and will not be ready, i.e. “foolish”.

Whatever is happening in your life, whatever mountain you face, whatever circumstance is preying upon your emotions – keep your eyes on the Prize!  We overcome the devil by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony.  In Hebrews, Chapter 11, the Bible tells us to recall the times of the faithfulness of our God – the spiritual battles He has brought us through – and every time He worked in our behalf.

The Bible says that God will never, never, never leave you nor forsake you.  He will arise and fight our battles as we praise Him and recall His goodness towards us.  Let’s learn to fight our spiritual battles skillfully – and as Jims says “stop fighting each other.”

We need your help!  The battles may be great, but the rewards are greater!  When the Church comes together, we are stronger.  One can put a thousand to flight, but two can put ten thousand!  The Lord opened Elisha’s eyes during a battle, to show him that the hills were lined with chariots of fire all around them!  The Lord has not left us alone in the End Times!

Jim and I will continue the fight to tell as many as we can, for as long as we can, that JESUS IS COMING SOON – BE READY!    We need you to help us – fight the good fight of faith!

Love,

Lori

  2. Warfare is raging, but our God is a God mighty in battle. We are
however human. I had grown depressed a few months back, then I
had a dream, just words spoken while I was asleep. Now is not the
time to hang your head low, lift up your head for your redemption
draweth nigh. A few years ago I was trying to get prepared. Like
Jim I have been having dreams of people running in terror.
In one dream I was on the intercoastal, In another a volcano
rose behind a church. In that dream there was a multitude of
angels protecting his people. Over the past few years I have
fought breast cancer, by the way, while undergoing surgery,
while under anesthesia, I told my Dr.s cancer is a small enemy
standing under the shadow of the almighty. The second surgery for
cancer they could not find it. Then my dear husband who was a
store manager for 25 years was demoted at work, his new position
he was injured at. My daughter’s car was wrecked 3 times in one month.
I could go on, but what I am trying to say, every enemy we face,
may seem huge, however if we see that enemy standing under the
shadow of the Almighty it becomes very small. When we have a
problem, God already has the solution. As I said, my husband was
a store manager, prices are going up, up and up. One major catastrophe
could affect the gas prices, which will affect the trucks bringing in
supplies and because it cost more to bring in the supplies, those
prices will go up. The scripture says consider the ant. We are to
prepare and be ready for anything. Not to be afraid, or fear but to
be ready. We may grow weary, getting prepared, but when the storms
hit, and they are coming, we will be glad that we prepared.

  3. Lori, what you have said is right on…The battles I am faced with are so intense and if I had forgotten what God has done on my behalf in the past I surely would have fallen , but God in His great mercy has lifted me, when I could not lift myself up. My Mom who is 85 has had many health issues,I have taken care of her through surgery twice on each leg, stents in her heart after a heart attack, and a patch in one carotoid artery, she had a stroke..it was 90% blocked the other one was 100% blocked. She then fell and broke a vertebrae and was in the hospital and then in rehab unit for 12 days until my folks could not afford for her to stay there so she came to live with me for 3 months, so I could take care of her. However, she was rushed to the hospital for an intestinal blockage… She then came back to my place ,then went back to be with my 88 year old father who has many health problems. I have tried to help him know Christ, but he has hardened his heart.I am still praying Lori..I will not give up. Anyway on March 31st I had major surgery…for cancer…I never saw this coming…but God in His mercy has helped me through…there have been a lot of problems for me getting diagnosed and then the treatment plan, but I saw the hand of God opening some doors and closing others, so I knew what God wanted me to do.Prayers of fellow Christians help us in our battles. When I am in radiation , I sing praise songs in my head..I cannot say with my mouth because it would make my body move ever so small, and the radiation beams would target the wrong area in my body for radiation.I also pray for people and I also say..Lord..let all the cancer cells die, like the fig tree and let all the healthy cells be well, and I will repeat it as the session goes on….I thank God for the healing He is doing in my body. The devil has been trying to destroy my life in many ways the past 8 months….but I say…greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world…I am standing on the promises of God…and He promises to be with me no matter what…May God bless you for the stand you are taking for God..the battle may be intense, but it will be worth it all when we see Jesus…and see the people who have come to Christ ..whatever we do , then do as unto the Lord….God bless you Lori and your family…((hugs)) Myrtle aka MyMy1 in the I -family

    • Dear Myrtle,

I’ve always said that those who have the greatest testimonies have had the greatest tests! I’m so proud of you – having done all STAND! I’m sending your post to our prayer warriors here to help you hold up those arms in the battle.

      Love,
      Lori

  4. We are headd for hard times, more than weve ever seen before. Every one be ready at all times, cause much is coming. Try to prepare the best U can for yourself and those who will need help and guidencet threw all thats coming quickly on the earth.

  5. Two spiritual warfare scriptures that I never fail to claim, confess, loosen, release and cover me and my family with every day:

    Luke 10:19 –

“I give you (supernatural) power and ability to tread upon serpents and scorpions (upon Satan and each and every dirty spirit underneath Him) and I give you (Kingdom) authority over all his power (and although we are forced to live in this world, as it is written in Phil. 3:20, we are not OF this world) and therefore NOTHING shall by any means harm us”.

    Luke 18:7 –

“Will not God bring about justice to his chosen ones who cry out to Him day and night? Indeed, HE WILL AVENGE US OF OUR ADVERSARY SPEEDILY!”

  6. Lori,

Yes, I have felt more of a battle the last few years, specifically against my calling to be a mother and wife. There have been days where I keep feeling, “I don’t want to be a Mom and wife”. But just the day before I was thinking, “Oh how blessed I am to get to stay home w/ my kids, and what a loving husband I have”. Oh! When I go to do good, evil is right there with me!

I’ve been dwelling on 2 Chronicles 20:12 “…For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you.” There are days where I feel so helpless to fight these negative attitudes/thoughts in my mind, but the Lord has said to fix our eyes on Jesus. He will fight against those who fight against us, and contend w/ those who contend with us Psalm 35:1

    • I know the struggles being a wife and mama too. Keep on fighting the good fight, sister! These are the end days and in some ways it is alot harder. God is still always with us. I often pray, “Lord, I’m feeling very weak right now so please show yourself strong.” The right attitude and mental mindset isn’t easy, but definately makes a big difference. Just know that you’re not alone. God bless you and your precious family!

  7. All you’ve said is true.
    I keep humming that old hymn;
“On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand.”
    God Bless you Lori.
