Much of our life is spent trying to figure out who we are, why we are here and where are we going. The answers to these questions are found in God’s Word. Today I want to share with you some scriptures about your true identity. These are often referred to as “I am” realities.
Choose to believe the Bible instead of negative thoughts or discouraging words spoken over you. Affirm and declare who you are in Christ, the truth about you. You will be transformed by the renewing of your mind as these confessions come alive in you.
I am the righteousness of God in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21
When I confess my sins and repent, I am forgiven and cleansed from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9
I am the temple of the Holy Spirit. I Corinthians 3:16
I am my beloved and He is mine. Song of Solomon 2:16
He is the vine and I am a branch. John 15:5
I am a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17
I am in Christ and He is in me, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27
I am an overcomer by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony. Revelation 12:11
I am strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Ephesians 6:10
I am a doer of the word, not a hearer only… James 1:22
I am not conformed to this world, but I am being transformed by the renewing of my mind. Romans 12:2
I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
May I suggest that you recite these “I am’s” out loud everyday for 30 days. At times you may experience thoughts of doubt or a battle with your mind to stay focused. Realize that you are tearing down strongholds and old thought patterns and disciplining your mind to think differently. Keep pressing on. God promises that His word will not return void. (Isaiah 55:11) I’m praying for you as you incorporate this new way of thinking — a true understanding of who you really are based on God’s Word. As you comprehend how God views you, it changes you from the inside out.
NOW you know your true identity!!
**My friend, if you do not know the Lord as your Savior, then right now ask forgiveness and repent of your sins. Tell Jesus you believe He is the Son of God and He died for you and ask Him to come into your heart. Give your life to Him. From this point on these above scriptures and declarations apply to you. God bless you!
