Pastor Zachary Drew – Always Go Back to the Word of God

Thursday night’s Evening Service at the Ready Now Expo was a special one for those at Morningside.  Our very own Pastor Zachary Drew was the teacher and we were his eager students.  This is the first time that Pastor Drew has led one of our expo evening services since being ordained a few months ago.  He has been teaching Revelation now for 3 years.  There is something about Zach that is contagious; He LOVES God’s Word.  He not only loves it but lives in every word, every verse and every chapter. He encourages old and young to open their Bible and seek what God is telling them, reminding all that it is written from the most amazing love there can be.

“I want people to get into the Word!  There are hidden treasures in every chapter; mysteries we have to uncover!  Don’t just believe what someone tells you is true.  Something can sound spiritual and of God but if it isn’t in his Word don’t believe it!  Don’t even believe what I tell you! Fall in love with the Word of God and listen to Him!”

Pastor Zach shared many amazing insights from the Bible with us, warning that we cannot believe some of the half truths that are out there and are spoken all the time.

“We have all been told, ‘God won’t give us more than we can handle.’  In 1 Corinthians 10:13 God says  ‘No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.’  God is saying that you will go through things.  Of course we will go through things that will be more than we can bear.  If we didn’t, why would we need God? He is saying I will help you get through it, whatever it is. We can get through it together.”

The evening service continued with many teachings on faith and the book of  Revelation and concluded with those in the audience filled with the knowledge that only God’s Word can provide.  We all look forward to the future and many more lessons, insights and inspiration from Pastor Zachary Drew!

Carl Gallups “Do Not Be Ashamed!”

Carl Gallups blessed the Wednesday Night Ready Now Expo Service with wit, knowledge and biblical insights.  Speaking on the events happening in the world today, Pastor Gallups focused on the United States, it’s leadership and the current shying away by the church to discuss God’s Word and His laws. Pastor Gallups cited the recent words from Franklin Graham, “The government is trying to impose a new morality—which is really no morality at all—jamming it down the throats of the American people. America has been blessed by God more than any nation on the face of this earth. When our country was birthed, its foundations and laws were based on biblical laws and principles. We used to be ‘one nation under God,’ now we’re a nation that has turned its back on God. History shows that when nations do this, their end is near.”

Pastor Gallups explained, “There is an antichrist Spirit that permeates the United States.  It begins at the government level and has now invaded our Churches.  We must not be ashamed of the Words of Jesus! “  

Explaining that we as Christians know what the Bible is teaching us, Pastor Gallups reminded the crowd that we know what is right and wrong according to the Word.  We have become afraid to speak out about the coming of Christ, about abortion, about the sanctity of marriage or even to mention Jesus for fear someone will get mad at us for it. “Christians in the Middle East are standing up and dying for their faith in Jesus Christ!  Little Children, thousands of people, whole families not willing to deny HIM! Yet we are afraid to talk about it?”   

“It is time for the church to buck up!  It’s time for the church, pastors, and believers to SPEAK THE WORD!  As it gets darker, we MUST turn up the light!  We must stand up and say I am NOT ashamed of God’s Words!  I am not ashamed of Jesus Christ!”  Pastor Gallups exclaimed.  “Get into HIS Word, you have been raised up for such a time as this!  Do not let the world trample the Word of God!  Get out there and start shining the light!”

Pastor Carl Gallups concluded the evening with:

1 Peter 3:15 “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”

“We are All Waiting!” Joel Richardson and Biblical Teaching on the End of Days

Tuesday night, Joel Richardson was welcomed back to the stage as our evening service speaker.  The crowd was riveted and eager to hear his teaching.  Joel began by reminding many of the people about the huge anticipation during the 1980’s regarding the rapture and it’s coming in 1988.  Still having the booklet with him – ”88 reasons why the Rapture will Happen in 1988” – Joel wanted to share with us what occured when that rapture did not occur.  “Many churches simply stopped their message of Christ’s return and many believers lost their faith from their disappointment and disillusion.”

Joel acknowledged that there are indeed biblical prophecies being revealed during these times but we cannot mistake any chastisement from God towards the U.S. as being proof that we are in the 7 years of tribulation.   

In 2nd Peter he writes, “Mockers will come with their mocking.’  

The closer we get to the actual day the greater the mocking will become.  It is up to the church to be responsible not to give legitimacy to their mocking.  If we, as believers, do not hold steady we could see a repeat of the aftermath of 1988. I am concerned we are setting ourselves up so at the very moment the Lord is standing at the door, too many will have turned away. Many will call his return a distraction.”  

“I am not saying things are not going to happen. We could see invasion, economic or natural disaster, or even an EMP blast attack. We do need to be prepared for what is coming! But we cannot make those signs point to an ending that has not yet begun.  This is in God’s timing, it is HIS business. We are seeing signs of His coming but we must listen to what God says in His Word, on the events leading up to Jesus coming!”  

Joel carefully went through the book of Daniel, Revelation, Matthew and John revealing the events that must happen before our Lord’s return.  Focused primarily on the antichrist and how he will come to be, Joel noted that at this time the antichrist has not been revealed nor has he begun any of the prophecies that are spoken of in God’s Word.  

Joel also spoke on how God’s teachers and prophets’ inspired words are being twisted to the world by the internet and media.  “Teachers can say one thing and within days, or even minutes, their words will have been twisted into something else. Pay attention to what you are reading on potential issues.” By staying close to God you can discern what is truth.  Read the Bible. KNOW HIS WORD!  And you will be able to see the events unfolding according to scripture.  

“We are all waiting for the time of the Great Tribulation” Joel stated as he posed questions of what we would do when events become much worse than the holocaust on Jerusalem.  “Where will we stand?  How are we preparing besides for our families and communities?  Are we preparing to be a place of refuge?”

Joel Richardson closed his message by reminding us all that we must spend as much time getting ready for our time in heaven as we are for our time on earth; preparing our own hearts, reaching out to others and spreading God’s Word.  

Rick Wiles, “Prepping is Biblical!”

The first day of our Ready Now Expo had the perfect closing.  Rick Wiles surprised the audience with an inspirational message “The Prepper’s Ultimate Survival Kit.”  Rick discussed why he supports prepping by using the story of Joseph who prophesied to the Pharaoh about 7 years of plenty and then famine. He reminded the audience that Joseph stored food in multiple cities, and asked.  “If Joseph hadn’t stored food, how many people would have died? The fact that he was obedient, kept people alive.”

“We are all learning about the Shemitah and we are living in a time of multiple cycles.” Rick explained. “This could be the return of Jesus Christ, or this could be another historical rollover of cycles. Only God knows the timing.”  He added that whether or not we were entering the Tribulation period, something “monumental” was happening in the world. Because of the many events that are coming, he urged the importance of not only preparing for ourselves, but also for the the generations who will come after us.

“Prepping is Biblical!” Showing his support for Jim Bakker and the ministry, Mr. Wiles stated firmly, “ Pastor Jim has been tenacious and obedient in warning people. And because he’s been obedient…I don’t know how many people have stored food!”

Mr. Wiles was wonderful about helping the audience remember that the ultimate survival Kit is from God.  The best security system is when you have the Lord in your heart and it is His wisdom that will guide you through the worst of times.  

Prepping is Biblical.  But, it is most important to prep yourself spiritually.   This message sets the tone of our week together here at Morningside and for the hundreds of people attending our incredible August 2015 Ready Now Expo!  

Jim Bakker Show Welcomes Adventurer Bob Cornuke

The Jim Bakker Show brings guests from all walks of life that are biblical seekers of the truth. We are so excited to announce a new guest Tuesday, July 28th! Writer, lecturer, biblical adventurer and President of Bible Archaeology Search and Exploration, Bob Cornuke, will be joining us for a very special live taping.

With experience as a former police investigator, SWAT team member, International explorer, lecturer and biblical investigator, along with  a Ph.D in Bible and theology, Bob has authored nine books. He has appeared on National Geographic Channel, CBS, NBC’s Dateline, Good Morning America, CNN, MSNBC, Fox, ABC, History Channel and Ripley’s Believe it or Not.

Mr. Cornuke has participated in over fifty expeditions around the world searching for lost locations described in the Bible. His latest book relocates the site of Solomon’s temple completely off the temple mount and places it in the city of David.  This research effort is astounding Bible students world wide.

Dr. Paul Williams Challenges Us to be Prepared!

Our wonderful friend, Dr. Paul Williams, author of the amazing book, When All Plans Fail, will be visiting us this week at Morningside!  Dr. Williams will be giving an informative seminar Weds. night July 22nd on Preparedness as a Community with incredible insight from his book.  Jim and Lori Bakker will also be welcoming Dr. Williams to the show taping on Grace Street, Thursday July 23rd at 11:30am as a special guest on the Jim Bakker Show.

Dr. Paul Williams has organized and led medical teams in a number of major world disasters since the early 1990’s.  His experiences during his more than 25 years in medical missions in 105 nations gives him a very unique perspective on world events and human suffering, including in the United States.

Whether man-made or natural, the word “disaster” seems to be more and more a part of our lives.  Dr. Williams felt a calling to write “When All Plans Fail” to challenge individual believers and churches to become prepared for disasters so that they may be the “Salt and Light” the Bible speaks about during times of crisis.

Dr. Williams says that 85%-90% of people are not prepared when it comes to a common disaster. Many times people don’t prepare because the fear of the future paralyzes them.  We know it can truly seem overwhelming to start to plan for disaster.  Dr. Paul Williams’ experiences in responding to disasters more than qualify him to bring us insights into our roles and responsibilities to be prepared for ourselves, our family and our community.

We hope you can join us as we discuss how to be ready for a disaster, how to help each other and finally how to accept Dr. Paul’s challenge for us to step forward as a community and be prepared!

Carl Gallups Morning Worship And Our Covenant with God

Sunday morning, July 5th, worship began at Morningside with gratitude. This was the last day of an incredible seven day Fourth of July Celebration! The congregation expressed thankfulness to our Lord for all of the amazing prophets that have spoken over the past week, for the fellowship with people from all around our nation, for the healing by God’s merciful love and for the hard work and dedication of the staff and volunteers that made this week possible.

After a truly powerful prayer and worship service, Morningside opened their hearts and ears to hear a message from Pastor Carl Gallups.  Carl Gallups is a Pastor (since 1987), a best selling author, conservative radio talk show host, and the founder of the online PNN News and Ministry Network.

Pastor Gallups spoke to the congregation on what is happening now in the United States and the Covenant of God that was made at the foundation of this Great Country.  He stated that, “The United States of America became the most powerful and richest nation the planet had ever seen and the most benevolent. The U.S. has been used by God because we made a covenant with God at the very beginning.  Israel is the ultimate covenant nation.  Israel is the nation that God came to and said I am in covenant with you. But, the U.S. is a covenant nation like no other planet the world has seen.”

Reminding all of us of what is in the Declaration of Independence, the first document in the creation of this nation that this is the creed upon which our nation was founded:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”  

Pastor Gallup went on further describing the moment that George Washington took his oath in office, swearing on the Bible and then in front of a nation, kissed the Bible in his hand.  “Please remember that in his first inaugural address, Washington prayed to God and afterward prayed with other members of leadership for two hours at St. Paul’s Cathedral that sits now at Ground Zero.  In the Constitution it states quite simply at the bottom of the page… Signed in the YEAR OF OUR LORD!   Don’t let anyone tell you that this nation was not founded without God in it!”

In this timely sermon Pastor Gallups described the darkness we feel that is covering our country and that while we may have patriotism there is something else that is needed now more than ever.

Preserve the freedoms we have.  Take that freedom in these prophetic days to proclaim the gospel!  Now even in America darkness is beginning to move in quickly.  I am a patriot.  I am patriotic! But I am convinced now that America doesn’t need more patriotism, it needs more repententance! We need more of God’s Word! ”

Morningside Celebrates Lori’s House Grand Opening!

The Grand Opening of Lori’s House was a celebration full of smiles and true thankfulness to God and all that have donated, worked thousands of hours, encouraged and prayed!  On July 4th, almost 4 years to the day of its dedication, Lori’s House opened it’s doors to saving lives!

“What better day to dedicate a home that encourages life and renewing!  It has been a long road to opening this wonderful place for young pregnant women to go and have their babies instead of aborting them,”  Pastor Jim Bakker commented. “Lori warned me that there would be warfare. And there truly was, but we made it and we will cut the ribbon today!  God is on our side!!”

Lori Bakker thanked the many people who have had a part in this miracle remembering the amazing people who have donated with such generosity and believe in this cause.  She thanked the many who have prayed daily for this ministry and the staff and volunteers that have worked non-stop. “Tammy Sue Bakker has held this vision all along and made sure it came to pass.  With the amazing help from our forewoman, Daina Martin and her incredible staff this beautiful home has been made possible!

Lori took a special moment to honor her mother, Char Graham.  “ You truly are the queen of my life.  Jesus is my King and my rock but my Mom has been my rock as well. Her prayers for me when I wasn’t living for God brought me through to Him and her prayers have not stopped.  There is a special place for you in heaven and I am so proud to have you as my mom! “

Lori’s house has been a ministry close to Lori’s heart.  “One of the great joys of my life is mentoring.  Moments where I can speak into another woman the love of God and the healing that can be found there. We are going to see amazing journeys.. not only are we saving babies and their brave young mothers,  but we will be witnessing post abortive women being healed through ‘Mourning to Joy!’  We will be training up true women of God!”

Before stepping up to cut the ribbon with Lori and their granddaughter Olivia, Pastor spoke to the crowd.  “God has His hands on this ministry.  We pray for all of you every day! We pray for our employees and the staff of Lori’s House.  We pray for our volunteers and for our supporters!  God has set you apart for a worldwide ministry that nobody else is doing and we stand together as one!” he declared.  “ Children are our heritage.  We dedicate Lori’s House to the Glory of God!”

Morningside Smiles and Welcomes Bobby Conner!

Where Bobby Conner goes, joy in the Lord follows.  This past Friday night, here at Morningside, Bobby gave the prophetic Word on Hope.  “What a difference a day makes!”  he smiled.  “The Lord told me to tell His people to war against the raging cloud of doubt.  Doubt is deadly!  Hang on to hope because one day can make a difference in your world!”

Pastor Conner remarked that through his years in ministry he always has people ask him, “Do you have any advice?”   “Well… YES  I have some advice… some good advice…Live your life with swift and complete obedience!  The happiest people on the planet are obedient to God!  The most miserable people I know are Christians trying to live like they are lost!  Be SINGLE MINDED in your love for God!”

Everyone at Morningside truly does rejoice in hearing the Word from Pastor Bobby Conner!  His Love of Jesus is so apparent that it shines through with his smile. That love came through while telling the story of Mark 5 when Jesus cast the demons from a man in the area of Gerasene.  This man was completely mad with demons who had possessed him and had to live in a cave because people were so frightened of him.  Jesus cast out the demons in two thousand pigs that promptly rushed down the hill and drown.  When the people came to see Jesus they saw this man perfectly healed and happy.  The townspeople asked Jesus to leave out of fear and the fact that they had lost two thousand pigs, and when Jesus was leaving the healed man asked him if he could go with Jesus.  Christ told him that He wanted him to go out and tell all he met about how God had healed him.

“This man woke up that morning a maniac and went to bed a missionary,  ah yes…what a difference a day makes!”

Staying the Course with Bishop Ron Webb

Thursday July 2nd, Morningside had a breakthrough night as Bishop Ron Webb preached the grace and blessings of God!  This 4th of July week has been focused on spiritual warfare and remembering that the greater the attack the greater are God’s blessings for you!

“Stay the Course!”  Bishop Webb encouraged, “I know you are hurting! You are at the point of falling apart but God is able to hold you together!  Above all you ask or think, the power is in you!  You are going to live through everything the devil threw at you!”

“David’s life depicts warfare”  Bishop reminded the crowd, “ David wore many different mantles.  He was a musician, songwriter, King and warrior but above all that, David was a worshiper.  Worshipers know how to grab the heart of God. Worshipers ALWAYS win! “

The evening was filled with praise and worship as those in the audience let go of the battles in their life and gave them to God.  “Some of you are in the same place as David was in, fighting battle after battle. But I am here to remind you that you have survived it all and you are here to show EVERYONE the Glory of GOD!  Stay the course!”
