Montana House Advances Personhood Bill

The Montana House of Representatives has passed a bill that would recognize unborn children as persons.

The bill, HB 425, now moves to the Senate.  If the bill passes the Senate, it would put the measure on the ballot for voters to amend the state Constitution.

“No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law, the bill reads. “As used in this section, the word ‘person’ applies to all members of the species Homo sapiens at any stage of development, including the stage of fertilization or conception, regardless of age, health, level of functioning, or condition of dependency.”

The sponsor of the bill, Rep. Matthew Monforton, says the bill would restore the state’s abortion law to the pre-Roe v. Wade state.  He said that it would sanctify the life of a child.

The Guttmacher Institute said that in 2011, the last year of recorded data, 2,200 women killed their children via abortion in the state.

Planned Parenthood Received $1.5 Billion in Taxpayer Funds

The Government Accountability Office shows that America’s biggest abortionist was given $1.5 billion in taxpayer funding from 2010 to 2012.

The report from the GAO only came to public after 70 congressmen asked the office to bring a report on federal funds being given through Title X to groups that are pushing for the increase of abortions in the United States.

The Hyde Amendment prohibits groups like Planned Parenthood from using federal funding for abortion, but the group gets money for offering other services such as STD testing. However, the funding can also be used to cover operations of the organization, thus indirectly funding the abortion services.

Several lawmakers expressed their concern over the report.

“Sixteen months ago, I joined seventy-one fellow members of Congress to demand a Government Accountability Office (GAO) investigation into how Planned Parenthood, the largest abortionist in the world, uses our tax dollars,” wrote Rep. Tim Huelskamp wrote in a statement on Wednesday. “Last week, GAO finally completed their investigation and confirmed much of what we already knew—massive amounts of taxpayer dollars are being pocketed by a group that is snuffing out the lives of nearly 900 babies every day.”

New York Senate Expected To Block Abortion Expansion

Republicans in the New York State Senate are expected to block a bill from the state Assembly that would expand abortion into the third trimester.

The bill, AB6221, was approved by the Assembly on Tuesday 94-49.

“The state shall not deny a woman’s right to obtain an abortion as established by the United States Supreme Court in the decision Roe v. Wade,” the bill reads. “Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, New York protects a woman’s right to terminate a pregnancy within 24 weeks from commencement of her pregnancy, or when necessary to protect a woman’s life or health as determined by a licensed physician.”

The bill had been part of a “women’s equality” bill but was separated into a stand-alone bill.

The head of New York State Right to Life told LifeNews that the bill shows the power of the abortion lobby in the state.

“Expanding cruel and brutal third-trimester abortions has long been a goal of the anti-life lobby who never met an abortion they didn’t like,” Lori Kehoe, New York State Right to Life executive director, told LifeNews. “With no regard for the fully developed unborn baby who is violently dismembered, or otherwise killed, the New York State Assembly once again put the abortion lobby above New York State women and their children.”

New York Assembly Passes Bill To Kill Third Trimester Babies

A vote shows that 94 members of the New York State Assembly want to make it OK for babies to be killed in the third trimester by shooting poison into their hearts.

The bill, AB 6221, was sponsored by pro-abortion Assemblywoman Deborah Glick.  The bill would allow any woman in New York to kill their baby up to the moment of birth.  The bill also says that a woman could have an abortion at any time for any reason.

Currently, no third trimester abortions are allowed except in the case of the pregnancy endangering the life of the mother.

“Expanding cruel and brutal third-trimester abortions has long been a goal of the anti-life lobby who never met an abortion they didn’t like,” Lori Kehoe, executive director of New York Right to Life, told the Christian Post. “With no regard for the fully developed unborn baby who is violently dismembered, or otherwise killed, the New York State Assembly once again put the abortion lobby above New York State women and their children.”

Kehoe continued: “We now look once again to the Senate to hold the line in defense of the children which happens to also be in accordance with the will of the rest of the people. It is ridiculous that in 2015, with all the technology at our disposal, we are still arguing whether or not an eight month old baby in the womb deserves protection. It is doubtful that our descendants will look kindly upon this period in our history, when we fought for the right to dismember babies weeks, days and even minutes before birth.”

Woman Arrested Attempting To Run Over Pro-Lifers

The solution for one abortion advocate was to try and create more death.

23-year-old Lacey Deese is facing criminal charges for attempting to run over a group of pro-life protesters at a North Carolina abortion facility this weekend.  The protest was at A Preferred Women’s Health in Charlotte, the same clinic that made news in 2012 when its abortionist referred to the babies he aborts as “ugly black babies.”

The pro-life group Cities4Life was outside the clinic with an RV from the Monroe HELP Center.  The RV has a mobile ultrasound unit and the group offers free ultrasounds and assistance for any woman that chooses not to abort her child.

“We’ve had many instances where these ladies think that there is nothing in their womb but what the liberal media tells them—it’s just a clump of cells, just a blob of tissue, nothing there—and when I’m able to show them their eight-week little baby in their womb with a heartbeat, arms and legs moving around, …. it kind of turns a light bulb on in their head,” Courtney Parks of Cities4Life said.

“I’ve had so many women say, ‘That’s my baby!’” Parks continued. “People are just so grateful for us standing for the truth and standing for the babies. They see you care, they see you want to help them and it makes them want to choose life for their baby.”

Lacey Deese, who had arrived at the facility making obscene gestures to the pro-life group, aimed her car right at the protesters when she left the facility.  She struck one of them on the arm as he jumped away to avoid her car.  Police found tire tracks in the grass where the car obviously jumped the curb and drove at the protesters.

Deese is facing at least one charge of “reckless driving to endanger.”

“I’ve done a lot of spiritual warfare, and I knew it wasn’t the young lady [doing this]; it was the spirit behind her,” Courtney said. “Because I told her I loved her, my heart is that seed that Jesus planted there will grow. And if I never see the result, it’s just my prayer that Christ will come into her life.”

“We know this young lady is hurting,” Parks agreed. “We don’t hold any hard feelings for her. We’ve been praying for her. Our ultimate prayer is that she comes to know the Lord.”

Concrete Company Agrees To Help Louisiana Abortionist

A controversial new abortion center planned by Planned Parenthood has found a company that is happy to pour concrete for the mega-facility.

The 8,000 square foot center to abort babies has been delayed partly because local contractors did not want to work with the organization to create the building. The group wants to create the facility in New Orleans which now has only one location for women to abort their babies.

“The Department simply stated that they didn’t meet the need requirement,” Bill Shanks, pastor of New Covenant Fellowship in Kenner, told Christian News Network. “[Planned Parenthood’s] statement was that New Orleans was 2,844 abortions less than the national average, therefore we need their facility to bring it up—to kill 2,844 babies so we could be with the national average. And the Department of Health and Hospitals rejected that.”

Absolute Concrete Solutions accepted the order. When members of King Jesus Ministries approached the owners to reconsider, they were told that if they gave the company $20,000 the order would be cancelled.  Then Linda Backes, one of the owners, said ‘I’m for Planned Parenthood and I’m for abortion,’ and she said, ‘If we let all these little kids live, they’ll just grow up and kill us” according to the Christian group.

HHS Confirms Abortions Offered To Illegal Immigrants

The Department of Health and Human Services has admitted that illegal alien unaccompanied minors who have been given status to stay in the U.S. by the Obama Administration will be offered free abortions.

The HHS issued a regulation that does not specifically mention abortion as a required emergency medical service but an officials from Administration for Children and Families told CNSNews.com that abortion is one of those offered services.

“The ‘lawful pregnancy-related medical services’ includes abortion,” the email statement said.

The HHS regulations also includes giving emergency contraception such as Plan B.

“Care provider facilities must provide UC victims of sexual abuse timely, unimpeded access to emergency medical treatment, crisis intervention services, emergency contraception, and sexually transmitted infections prophylaxis, in accordance with professionally accepted standards of care, where appropriate under medical or mental health professional standards,” reads one regulation that must be followed by caregivers for the illegal immigrant children.

The Health and Human Service’s Office of Refuge Resettlement acknowledged there could be religious objections to the policy and they would try to work with them but the needs of the patient will be considered first.

A Little Boy’s Voice (Pt. 6)

Because I’d never had an ultrasound, I didn’t know the gender of any of the children I aborted, so don’t ask me how I knew this; I can’t tell you. But somehow I knew in my heart that the voice I had just heard belonged to my son. He would have been my firstborn.

Now, on the beach, I understood why God had wanted me to hear the radio broadcast of “Tilly,” and why he had spoken to me in the voice of my unborn child for the second time. He had already forgiven me, but he wanted to begin a healing process in me.

I remember hearing a preacher say once that God does things in the heavenly realm that there are no earthly words to describe. I believe that with God, all things are possible. Whatever it takes for you to be healed, that’s what he will do for you. That’s what it took for me. I needed to hear that voice. Needed that reassurance. Continue reading

A Little Boy’s Voice (Pt. 5)

I had rented a beautiful little cabin in the mountains and really enjoyed the solitude it afforded. One night I couldn’t sleep. So I got up and turned on the television. I flipped through the channels until I found a Christian program. It was The 700 Club. Pat Robertson was talking about abortion. The topic made me a little uneasy, but I didn’t change the station.

That night The 700 Club aired a video called The Silent Scream. This pro-life documentary was narrated by Dr. Bernard Nathanson, a former abortionist, and included live film footage of a suction abortion. For the first time I saw pictures of exactly what I had done. I was horrified, but I could not tear my eyes away from the screen. Continue reading

A Little Boy’s Voice (Pt. 4)

Sunglasses could not hide the tears streaming down my face, and I was glad the beach was not crowded that day. I walked toward the water, oblivious to the warm ocean breeze or the strident call of the seagulls. My shoulders slumped under the weight of the reality that now settled on me. Dear God, what have I done? My feet were leaden, my legs would no longer hold me. I sank to my knees in the hot sand, completely devastated. I murdered my children!

A man and a woman passed by me and discarded the remains of their picnic lunch into one of the large trash bins dotting the beach. It occurred to me that I had thrown my children away, almost as unthinkingly as they tossed their soda cans in the garbage. I had killed my babies to keep my husband. A husband I wound up losing anyway. A husband who had betrayed me and abused me, again and again. Continue reading
