South Sudanese Pastor Jailed, Beaten

A pastor in South Sudan says that he has had his strength increased after an ordeal where he was jailed and beaten by Islamists.

Adam Haron, 37, a convert from Islam who was born in West Darfur, Sudan.  On November 9th and 10th, Islamic extremists began calling and harassing him about his evangelism work in South Sudan.

Evangelism is legal in the nation where Christians are in the majority.  The country withdrew from Sudan in 2011 partially because of religious freedom issues.

Six days later, six armed men in military uniforms came into his hotel room and seized his items.  They forced him into a car where they began to beat him.  He was held at gunpoint and questioned about being a pastor.  When he said he was a pastor of Jesus Christ, he was taken to a detention center.

Pastor Haron was then kept in jail through February 18th.

Haron said that he was beaten 364 times with a tree branch as a whip.  He was thrown into a narrow cell with his legs bound in chains.  He had over $820 dollars stolen from him by his captors.

Haron says he will return to his church made up of mostly converts from Islam.

Prosecution Rests Case In Boston Marathon Terror Trial

The prosecution has rested its case in the trial of accused Boston Marathon terrorist Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

The prosecution saved their strongest evidence for the last part of their case, the injuries sustained by 8-year-old Martin Richard who died as a result of the explosion.

The boy’s parents, Bill and Denise, watched from the second row during the testimony of Dr. Henry Nields, chief medical examiner for Massachusetts.  The wounds were so intense that courtroom witnesses say some of the jurors cried while others stared at Tsarnaev with visible anger.

The defense team has said their goal in the trial is to keep Tsarnaev from receiving the death penalty for his crimes.  Their opening of their case showed pictures of the bomber was more than just a few feet away from the family with the intent of showing the bomber did not target the children.

The defense is claiming that while their client was a participant in the bombing, his brother was the driving force and the plotter of the terror attack.

ISIS Executes Starving Child For Stealing Food

A family that escaped from ISIS in Mosul is relating stories of the terrorist group’s brutality toward children.

The family showed a video to a reporter with the news organization Rudaw a video of a pre-teen child being executed because the child was starving and stole food.  Mosul has been suffering a food storage since the terrorist group took control of the village.

The boy who recorded the video, identified only as Ibrahim, says that the father of the child was begging loudly before the shooting of his child for the group to spare the child’s life.

In addition to the execution, the group has cut off the hands of children accused of stealing.

“Yesterday they cut off the hands of four kids, ages 12, 11, 13 and 16,” the family’s daughter, SA, told the reporter. “One of the kids stole a toy bird, another stole an electric cable.”

The family also said that the terrorists routinely go into the schools and abduct girls to force them into marriages.  Girls as young as 8 have been taken by the terrorists.

NJ Church To Host State’s Largest Easter Egg Hunt

A New Jersey church is hosting the largest Easter Egg Hunt in the history of the state.

Liquid Church will be hosting 14 different Jersey Egg Hunt events at four locations on April 4th and 5th, with over 100,000 eggs.

“At Liquid, one of our core values is that Church can be FUN. We hope families joining us for the Jersey Egg Hunt will have a chance to experience church in a refreshing way,” said Tim Lucas, founding and lead pastor, to Christian Post.

The church will be holding a 90-minute experience that will include a CD of worship music from the church’s worship team for each of the parents who attend the event.

The church was founded in 2001 and has about 3,500 attendees each Sunday.

“Our vision is simple: we take church to the people,” Pastor Lucas said. “There aren’t Easter Eggs in the Bible – but we want to build a bridge to families.”

“Outreach is our heartbeat as a church.”

Small Tsunami Generated After Pacific Earthquake

A huge earthquake off the coast of Papua New Guinea generated a small tsunami.

The magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck around 30 miles southeast of Kokopo at a depth of 40 miles. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center warned of a potential 3 foot high tsunami but the highest reported wave was 1.5 feet in the harbor of Rabaul.

Rabaul residents say there was no major damage and most of the water flooded parking lots near the beach or seaside. Store owners say that items were knocked off shelves but there was no structural damage.

Residents say the tremor lasted about five minutes and was so intense that residents fled into the streets from fear of building collapse.

Miraculously, officials say there were no reports or deaths or injuries from the massive quake.

Papua New Guinea lies on the Pacific “Ring of Fire”. Volcanic and earthquake activity is common in the region.

ISIS Destroys Fourth Century Monastery

ISIS has destroyed another historic Christian site in their attempts to cleanse the region of all remnants of other faiths.

In addition to the monastery, the terrorists also blew up the homes of 10 Christian families in Ninevah.

The terrorist group released photos on their social media accounts showing their destruction of the ancient Christian Bar Behnam Monastery in the town of Qaraqosh.  The monastery had contained the most valuable Syrian library in Iraq.

The bombing also blew up tombs of people lead to Jesus by the apostle Matthew.

The bombing comes a week after their destruction of a 10th century Catholic monastery in Mosul.

Human Rights Watch has released reports on the destruction in the region during the terrorist offensive.

Tunisia Arrests 23-Member Terror Cell

Tunisian officials announced that a 23-member terror cell has been arrested in connection with the attack on the Bardo Museum that left 20 tourists and police dead.

All of the members of the jihadist network were Tunisian.  Officials say they are looking for another Tunisian, two Moroccans and an Algerian who have connections to the terrorist networks.

The Tunisian man was identified as Maher Ben Mouldi Kaidi, also known as the “third attacker”, that provided the weapons for the terror attack.

The investigators say they have confirmation that the group was connected with Al-Qaeda, not ISIS as originally believed by some investigators.  The group was working with Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.

AQIM had been the segment of the terrorist group that had been in control of much of Mali until French forces drove them out of the major cities and into the mountains.

Germanwings Airliner Crashed On Purpose Killing 150

Investigators have found that the co-pilot deliberately crashed Germanwings Flight 9525 into the French Alps.

The “black box” voice recordings have shown investigators that Andreas Lubitz, 28, was in total control of the plane and spent eight minutes descending the plane into a mountain.

“He voluntarily … allowed the loss of altitude of the plane, which he had no reason to do. He had … no reason to stop the pilot-in-command from coming back into the cockpit. He had no reason to refuse to answer to the air controller who was alerting him on the loss of altitude,” Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin said to reporters.

Robin said that most of the passengers had no idea what was happening until the very end.  The plane was descending at a speed where the entire craft was pulverized by the impact and death would have been instantaneous for everyone on board.

“Only towards the end do you hear screams,” he said. “And bear in mind that death would have been instantaneous … the aircraft was literally smashed to bits.”

Police are searching the home of the co-pilot looking for any clues as to his motive for crashing the plane.

The Loudest Voice

This is such an epic time in the world! God is speaking to the world but it seems that very few people are listening! He couldn’t be speaking any louder and he is letting us know what is coming through the signs in the world. One sign after another, one harbinger after another, day after day, and I HOPE our eyes and ears are open to receive them! This is why our ministry exists to help people see with their whole heart and to understand what God is doing in the earth.

As these prophetic events unfold, I feel led to remind you of WHY God gives us these signs.  Why does the Lord bring us these signs and these special harbingers? One reason. LOVE. Continue reading
