UK Hosting Conference About Somalian Islamic Terrorists

MogadishbombingUK Prime Minister David Cameron will be hosting a conference aimed at bringing peace to Somalia and driving the Islamic terrorist group al-Shabab from the country.

The conference will focus on rebuilding the security forces, stopping violence against women and ending the Islamic insurgency that has plagued the country for years.  The insurgency and piracy connected to the Islamists contributed to the problems of a famine in Somalia from 2010-2012. Teens Fight Back Against Anti-Christian Bullies

After an Idaho public school teacher told Christian students that they could make no references to God in an assigned paper called “I Believe”, students began to ask questions about why they were prohibited from sharing their beliefs.  The questions led to a video and program aimed at ending bullying of Christian students in public schools.

The students spurred the creation of Reach America, an organization based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  The group is comprised of students from across the area. Continue reading

North Korea Removes Missiles From Coast

North Korea has quietly removed two medium-range missile from their eastern coastline.  U.S. officials state that this is possibly a sign of weakening hostility on the Korean peninsula despite no official word from Pyongyang that North Korea was lowering its military posture.

The missiles had been put in place to back up dictator Kim Jong-un’s declarations that North Korea would bomb South Korea, Japan or the United States because of United Nations sanctions placed after the North’s third nuclear bomb test.  The North was also angry about joint South Korea/United States military drills despite the fact the drills happen every year. Tanzania Church Bombed At First Mass

tanzaniachurchbombingA bomber killed three and wounded at least 50 when he set off his device during the first ever service at a Catholic church in the Tanzanian city of Arusha.

The bombing marks the latest in a line of terrorists attacks against Christians in the country by Islamic extremists.

The Vatican’s ambassador to Tanzania and the archibishop of Arusha were on site during the attack but are reportedly unhurt. Continue reading

Seven NATO Troops Killed In Afghanistan

afghanistanSeven NATO forces have died in two attacks over the weekend according to a NATO spokesman.

The deaths come as the Taliban has announced their “spring offensive” against in an attempt to undermine the current Afghani government as NATO begins to remove troops.  The Afghani military is expected to be given total control in 2014.

Islamic Extremists Attack Police In Bangladesh

islamistsriotbangladeshThree people are dead and 60 injured after Islamic extremists attacked riot police in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The Islamists roared through the streets burning vehicles and either looting or burning businesses.  The group, lead by Hefazat-e-Islam, is estimated to have been as large as half a million people.  The group demanded that anyone who insulted Islam be immediately put to death. Continue reading
