Al-Qaeda Attack In Canada Stopped By International Investigation

Two foreign men living in Canada have been charged with plotting to blow up a passenger train with support from Al-Qaeda in Iran.

Officers with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police took Chiheb Esseghaier, 30, and Raed Jaser, 35, into custody Monday. The two men have been charged in connection with a plot to derail a VIA passenger train in the Toronto area. Continue reading

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is communicating with interrogators and has said that his Islamic faith was motivation for the terrorist attack on the Boston Marathon.

Tsarnaev was officially charged today with conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction. He suffered a throat injury in his standoff with Boston police leaving him unable to speak. He has been communicating through writing. Continue reading

Clash Between Nigerian Troops And Islamic Terrorists Kill 185

Islamist terrorists in extreme northeast Nigeria launched an assault on military troops in the town of Baga, killing 185 civilians and essentially leveling the town.

The assault featured rocket-propelled grenades and heavy gunfire that resulted in the destruction of over 2,000 homes. Residents of the town fled into the bush and returned the next day to find human and animal corpses strewn all over the streets of the ruined city. Continue reading

FBI Hunting “12 Strong Sleeper Cell”

The London Daily Mirror is reporting that the FBI is searching for a “sleeper cell” containing as many as 12 people in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings.

A source close to the investigation reported that over 1,000 FBI workers were tracking down the cell and had arrested a man and woman about 60 miles from Boston just before the capture Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Continue reading

Rescue Workers Finally Reaching China Quake Victims

Rescue teams have finally reached remote parts of China’s Sichuan province after the massive Saturday earthquake that has been estimated to have killed over 200.

Chinese state media say 207 are dead or missing and that the 6.6 magnitude earthquake has injured over 11,500. More than 1,300 aftershocks have rocked the region since the main quake struck around 8 a.m. local time Saturday. Continue reading

Syrian Government Troops Kill 80

The Syrian Army was able to take control of a town in Damascus by killing at least 80 people including women and children.

The army captured Jdaidet al-Fadl after five days of intensive shelling and fighting. The state news agency said the troops inflicted “heavy losses upon terrorists” in the town but observer groups said that most of the dead were women and children, not rebel fighters. Continue reading
