George Beverly Shea, the soloist for most of Billy Graham’s crusades, died Tuesday after a brief illness at the age of 104.
Shea, known for his renditions of “How Great Thou Art” and “The Wonder of it All”, first sang for Billy Graham in 1943 during a Chicago radio program. He then became the voice that preceded Graham’s sermons at nearly every crusade for the next 50 years.

A 7.8 magnitude earthquake centered in Iran reached three countries resulting in fatalities in at least two.
The quake, centered near the Iranian cities of Khash (population 180,000) and Saravan (population 250,000), struck approximately 3:14pm local time Tuesday. A professor with the University of Buffalo was arrested on Tuesday for disorderly conduct after violently launching into a profanity filled rant against pro-life students.
Professor Laura Curry, an adjunct professor of media, harassed and screamed at members of the University’s Students for Life group who were staging a pro-life event. The group had displayed photos of babies killed via abortion that Curry wanted to have removed from public view. Continue reading →
