Do Something!

lest we forget

Last Sunday, September 11, 2016, our church shared an awesome time together in worship and praise remembering 9/11.

Recently we were honored to bring on board a new Senior Pastor, Joseph Campbell, to Morningside Church. After months of prayer God had answered our prayers for a Spirit-filled man of God with sincere compassion for the people.

Pastor Joe titled his message, “Lest We Forget.” After he gave the honor and remembrance our country deserved, he then proceeded to address the congregation and turned his message to each one of us.

My first thought was, how would he address us now as believers, with his message? Amazingly, Pastor Joe said many souls of our family members, neighbors, friends and communities will be lost, “Lest we forget” the commission God gave each of us — to preach the Gospel to the lost and to help those in need.

We are the hands and feet of Christ. Immediately I knew that I had neglected my call towards those God had put in my path. Pastor mentioned that it is our responsibility to our families, friends and communities to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“Lest we forget”.

Who will lead them? Who will help them? Who will teach them? Who will disciple them?

You and me, that’s who!

How many times have you or I said, “Here am I Lord, use me”? Well, for me, it has been long enough! How about you? Let’s use that authority and power Jesus has given us and go out and do what He commanded us to do.

Mark 16:15 – “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” KJV

Luke 9:1-2 – “Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.”

It brought tears to my eyes to think how complacent we, (the church), have become toward the lost after Jesus paid it all for you and me! Let’s make our God and Savior proud. Let’s go out and preach the Gospel and help those in need.
“Lest We Forget!”

Salvation is free, but it cost Jesus everything! Let’s do our part!
“Lest We Forget!”
