Wow – it’s here – 2012!! Can you believe it?? Many are realizing that this is a different year. Admittedly, it is special in many ways. Movies have been made about it. Mystical predictions from ancient Mayan and Aztec tribes have spoken and much publicity has been given to end-of-the-world dates. Fear has gripped many hearts as a result of all this negativity. Add to that the world’s turmoil, sobering prophecies, devastating economic predictions and the outlook looks pretty dismal, Right?
Well, what about you? Are you dreading the rest of 2012? Have you focused so much on the negative predictions that you are depressed? Are apprehension and uncertainty your constant companions?
If this is you — STOP THAT STINKIN’ THINKIN’! Friend, do you really think that our Good God only has a negative future for you? God is the One who has the final word!!. And in John 10:10 it says, “…but I (Jesus) have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.” This is a new day, a new time, a new season in your life — a never-before-time in history.
You were born for such a time as this!
God has a reason for your being here right now. You are part of God’s family, called and chosen by Him. You have been translated from the Kingdom of Darkness into the Kingdom of God’s Dear Son — the Kingdom of Light! Nothing is impossible with God and that includes 2012!
Matt 19:26—“But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” KJV
When you are in God and His Spirit is in you, then your hope is in Him. When things are not “as usual” around you, God is still God and He is in the miracle-working business. In the midst of upheaval in the world, God often shows Himself mighty on our behalf. That way He gets all the glory because without Him it would be impossible! This is an awesome time for your faith to grow and for you to step into your destiny. Press into God and seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and then we are promised that “all these things will be added unto you.” That isn’t just for ancient Biblical times, but also for the now and now!!
In (John 8:12 and John 9:5) Jesus said that He was the Light of the world. Then He said that “WE” (you and me) are now the light of the world. (Matthew 5:14) With all the darkness around us the light is needed more than ever!! Pray, believe and stand fast in the truths you know. Fight the good fight of faith and agree with God’s Word. Shine for Jesus!!
If you don’t belong to a Holy Spirit-filled fellowship, I encourage you to find one. We need to stay closely connected with like-minded believers who are truly seeking God. Remember, you are in this world, but not of it. John 15:19 “If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world…. (KJV)
Yes, Revelation events will occur, attacks will come, and the world’s system will be in turmoil and confusion, but we are destined for victory because of Jesus! We cannot rely on this world’s system for our security. We are of a different Kingdom and the Lord promises to give strength and power to His people. Ps 68:35—“The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people.” NKJV
A good scripture for 2012 is Daniel 11:32–….but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. KJV
We are praying 2012 will be your breakthrough year and one of tremendous growth in the Lord!
