Planned Parenthood Received $1.5 Billion in Taxpayer Funds

The Government Accountability Office shows that America’s biggest abortionist was given $1.5 billion in taxpayer funding from 2010 to 2012.

The report from the GAO only came to public after 70 congressmen asked the office to bring a report on federal funds being given through Title X to groups that are pushing for the increase of abortions in the United States.

The Hyde Amendment prohibits groups like Planned Parenthood from using federal funding for abortion, but the group gets money for offering other services such as STD testing. However, the funding can also be used to cover operations of the organization, thus indirectly funding the abortion services.

Several lawmakers expressed their concern over the report.

“Sixteen months ago, I joined seventy-one fellow members of Congress to demand a Government Accountability Office (GAO) investigation into how Planned Parenthood, the largest abortionist in the world, uses our tax dollars,” wrote Rep. Tim Huelskamp wrote in a statement on Wednesday. “Last week, GAO finally completed their investigation and confirmed much of what we already knew—massive amounts of taxpayer dollars are being pocketed by a group that is snuffing out the lives of nearly 900 babies every day.”

New York Senate Expected To Block Abortion Expansion

Republicans in the New York State Senate are expected to block a bill from the state Assembly that would expand abortion into the third trimester.

The bill, AB6221, was approved by the Assembly on Tuesday 94-49.

“The state shall not deny a woman’s right to obtain an abortion as established by the United States Supreme Court in the decision Roe v. Wade,” the bill reads. “Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, New York protects a woman’s right to terminate a pregnancy within 24 weeks from commencement of her pregnancy, or when necessary to protect a woman’s life or health as determined by a licensed physician.”

The bill had been part of a “women’s equality” bill but was separated into a stand-alone bill.

The head of New York State Right to Life told LifeNews that the bill shows the power of the abortion lobby in the state.

“Expanding cruel and brutal third-trimester abortions has long been a goal of the anti-life lobby who never met an abortion they didn’t like,” Lori Kehoe, New York State Right to Life executive director, told LifeNews. “With no regard for the fully developed unborn baby who is violently dismembered, or otherwise killed, the New York State Assembly once again put the abortion lobby above New York State women and their children.”

New York Assembly Passes Bill To Kill Third Trimester Babies

A vote shows that 94 members of the New York State Assembly want to make it OK for babies to be killed in the third trimester by shooting poison into their hearts.

The bill, AB 6221, was sponsored by pro-abortion Assemblywoman Deborah Glick.  The bill would allow any woman in New York to kill their baby up to the moment of birth.  The bill also says that a woman could have an abortion at any time for any reason.

Currently, no third trimester abortions are allowed except in the case of the pregnancy endangering the life of the mother.

“Expanding cruel and brutal third-trimester abortions has long been a goal of the anti-life lobby who never met an abortion they didn’t like,” Lori Kehoe, executive director of New York Right to Life, told the Christian Post. “With no regard for the fully developed unborn baby who is violently dismembered, or otherwise killed, the New York State Assembly once again put the abortion lobby above New York State women and their children.”

Kehoe continued: “We now look once again to the Senate to hold the line in defense of the children which happens to also be in accordance with the will of the rest of the people. It is ridiculous that in 2015, with all the technology at our disposal, we are still arguing whether or not an eight month old baby in the womb deserves protection. It is doubtful that our descendants will look kindly upon this period in our history, when we fought for the right to dismember babies weeks, days and even minutes before birth.”

Law Requiring Abortion Doctors To Have Admitting Privileges Found Unconstitutional

Pro-Abortionists are celebrating a judge’s ruling striking down a law in Wisconsin that would have helped protect the health and welfare of women.

U.S. District Judge William Conley, struck down Senate Bill 206, which calls for increased health standards at abortion facilities.  The bill also requires anyone who wants an abortion to have admitting privileges at a local hospital to help women who suffer injury or complications from the process.

The lawsuit was brought by Planned Parenthood and the ACLU.

“While the court agrees with the State that sometimes it is necessary to reduce access to ensure safety, this is decidedly not one of those instances,” Conley wrote. “In particular, the state has failed to meet its burden of demonstrating through credible evidence a link between the admitting privileges requirement and a legitimate health interest.”

“The only reasonable conclusion is that the legislation was motivated by an improper purpose, namely to restrict the availability of abortion services in Wisconsin,” Conley said.

A spokeswoman for Governor Scott Walker said the state will appeal the decision.

Woman’s Change Of Heart on Abortion Goes Viral

The story of a single mother’s change of heart on abortion has blown up on Facebook and other social media.

Kimberly Henderson, 26, posted her story on Facebook and found over half a million likes and shares in just two days.

“Two years ago today I was sitting in an abortion clinic thinking not having Vaida was best for me,” Henderson wrote with reference to her two-year-old daughter. “Well this date is forever burned in my brain. … I think that is God’s way of showing me that HIS plan is and will always be greater and bigger than anything and everything I’ve ever known.”

Henderson, who gained national TV exposure during the qualifying rounds of American Idol, shared how an overwhelming sense of regret came on her as she prepared to abort her child.

“The lady called me to the desk. Last step before you go back. I fumbled through my wallet to find my drivers license and out fell a card a couple left on the table Saturday night when I was working,” She wrote. “It had their church name on it.. On the back was a common verse…’Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10.’ I knew God was speaking to me.”

“Pouring tears I walked out and felt a huge weight off my shoulders. No matter what your circumstances are God doesn’t make mistakes and he is here for you,” she said.

Democrats Block Human Trafficking Bill Over Abortion

Members of the Senate are blocking a bill to help victims of human trafficking because of language related to abortion funding.

The Justice for Trafficking Victims Act, introduced by Senator John Cornyn of Texas, would increase penalties on people involved in human trafficking.

“The bill imposes an additional penalty of $5,000 on any non-indigent person or entity convicted of a crime involving: (1) peonage, slavery, or trafficking in persons; (2) sexual abuse; (3) sexual exploitation and other abuse of children; (4) transportation for illegal sexual activity; or (5) human smuggling in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act,” read S. 178’s summary.

“The bill expands the definition of ‘child abuse’ under the Victims of Child Abuse Act of 1990 to include human trafficking and the production of child pornography and expands criminal sanctions to include persons who patronize or solicit children for commercial sex acts (buyers).”

Some Democratic members of the Senate are holding up the bill because of language that would prohibit funding going to pay for abortions by those rescued from human trafficking.

Senator Dick Durban of Illinois has filed an amendment to allow abortion funding to be part of the package.

Baby Walter, Miscarried at 19 Weeks, Saving Babies from Abortion

A baby that was born at 19 weeks before passing away has become a symbol to save the lives of babies around the world.

Lexi Fretz of Greencastle, PA posted pictures of her late son Walter on her blog after the child’s birth in fall 2013.  She intended for just family and friends to see the photos of her “perfect child.”

“I never, ever could have imagined that it would spread across the world like this,” Fretz says.

At 19 weeks of pregnancy, Lexi began having pain and was rushed to the hospital.  A few hours later she delivered Walter.

“I was crying so hard at this point but he was perfect,” she wrote on her blog. “He was fully formed and everything was there, I could see his heart beating in his tiny chest. (My husband) Joshua and I both held him and cried over him and looked over our perfect, tiny son.”

“I held him, cuddled him. While his heart was beating, I held him to my heart, I counted his toes and kissed his tiny head.”

Walter passed away a few minutes later.

The photos that were taken by Joshua have now impacted women around the world.

“I am so shocked at my ignorance as to the development of a baby,” one commenter named Barbara wrote. “I will no longer look on as an observer. I will become an active informational type of person and share this as an example of life, the life of a baby—a real baby.”

“My views on abortion have completely changed,” another named Jordan wrote. “How naive have I been?!”

Lexi says that God has brought good out of a tragic and painful situation.

“I wish that this (miscarriage) hadn’t happened, but it did for a reason,” Fretz said. “Maybe that reason was to share with the world how perfect a baby which is legal to abort in many states really is.”

Supreme Court Remands Notre Dame Contraception Suit

Lower court justices who voted to deny Notre Dame’s religious rights will have to take a second look at their ruling after the U.S. Supreme Court threw out their decision.

The justices of the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals is being ordered to reconsider their decision in favor of the Obama Administration blocking Notre Dame’s request to have an exemption to the President’s signature health care law’s mandate of abortion causing drugs.

The Supreme Court said the 7th Circuit needed to take into account the court’s 2014 ruling in the Hobby Lobby case.

The Notre Dame case is the only appeals court decision that was issued prior to the Hobby Lobby ruling.  In other cases, the judges have upheld the rights of the Christian organizations to not pay for abortion causing drugs.

The school said their rights were protected under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

Former Olympian Who Refused Abortion Births Triplets

A former Olympic gymnast who had doctors telling her to abort two of her unborn children to make sure the third baby was healthy has given birth to healthy triplets.

As previously reported, Jaime Halsey was told by doctors last fall to abort their children.

“We had our first scan in Northampton at 12 weeks and were immediately referred to specialists at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford,” she told the Northampton Chronicle in January. “They told us one of the twins is 25 percent smaller than the other and there’s a massive risk of further growth restrictions.”

Halsey flat out rejected the calls of their doctors and said that she would give life to her babies no matter what it would cost her.

On February 24th, Halsey gave birth through Cesarean section.

Triplet girls Eden Rose, Amber Joy and Erin Aila are all doing fine.  They will remain hospitalized until they gain more weight as they were born premature.

“We both know that the triplets have a long way to go, and many hurdles to get over before we can bring them home; but we know that we have given them the best chance possible and the wonderful medical staff at the JR have and will continue to give them the best chance possible too,” her husband added.

Woman Arrested Attempting To Run Over Pro-Lifers

The solution for one abortion advocate was to try and create more death.

23-year-old Lacey Deese is facing criminal charges for attempting to run over a group of pro-life protesters at a North Carolina abortion facility this weekend.  The protest was at A Preferred Women’s Health in Charlotte, the same clinic that made news in 2012 when its abortionist referred to the babies he aborts as “ugly black babies.”

The pro-life group Cities4Life was outside the clinic with an RV from the Monroe HELP Center.  The RV has a mobile ultrasound unit and the group offers free ultrasounds and assistance for any woman that chooses not to abort her child.

“We’ve had many instances where these ladies think that there is nothing in their womb but what the liberal media tells them—it’s just a clump of cells, just a blob of tissue, nothing there—and when I’m able to show them their eight-week little baby in their womb with a heartbeat, arms and legs moving around, …. it kind of turns a light bulb on in their head,” Courtney Parks of Cities4Life said.

“I’ve had so many women say, ‘That’s my baby!’” Parks continued. “People are just so grateful for us standing for the truth and standing for the babies. They see you care, they see you want to help them and it makes them want to choose life for their baby.”

Lacey Deese, who had arrived at the facility making obscene gestures to the pro-life group, aimed her car right at the protesters when she left the facility.  She struck one of them on the arm as he jumped away to avoid her car.  Police found tire tracks in the grass where the car obviously jumped the curb and drove at the protesters.

Deese is facing at least one charge of “reckless driving to endanger.”

“I’ve done a lot of spiritual warfare, and I knew it wasn’t the young lady [doing this]; it was the spirit behind her,” Courtney said. “Because I told her I loved her, my heart is that seed that Jesus planted there will grow. And if I never see the result, it’s just my prayer that Christ will come into her life.”

“We know this young lady is hurting,” Parks agreed. “We don’t hold any hard feelings for her. We’ve been praying for her. Our ultimate prayer is that she comes to know the Lord.”
