A pro-life student group at Johns Hopkins University has been denied official status after a debate that included pro-life students being compared to white supremacists.

Kristian Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, said the student council claimed being pro-life violates the school’s harassment policy. The violated group, Voice for Life, is searching for an attorney to sue the school because of the ban. Continue reading

Chinese Officials Still Forcing Women Into Late-Term Abortions

A photo circulating the internet is showing the body of a seven-month old fetus that died after Chinese officials forced an abortion upon his mother.

The woman, identified at Ms. Lu, was seized by “local family officials” who forced her into a vehicle that went to a local hospital where they injected her with chemicals to force the abortion. She went into labor and delivered the dead baby two days later. Continue reading

North Dakota Governor Aims To Test Roe v. Wade Boundaries

North Dakota governor Jack Dalrymple has signed the nation’s most restrictive abortion bill with an aim to test the boundaries of the Roe v. Wade decision.

In addition to the bill that would ban abortion after six weeks, Dalrymple signed a second law banning abortion based on generic abnormality and a third that requires doctors who perform abortions to have hospital admitting procedures. Continue reading

Politicians in the Washington state are moving to force all insurance providers to make abortion coverage part of every plan.

Brazilian Doctors Endorse Abortion Upon Request

The Brazilian Senate is debating changes to the nation’s abortion laws and doctors are calling for them to allow abortion on demand.

The Federal Council of Medicine says all abortions under 12 weeks should be allowed on demand. After 12 weeks, they should be allowed in cases of fetal anomalies and when the pregnancies are the result of unwanted in-vitro fertilization. Continue reading

North Dakota Passes Sweeping Abortion Ban

The North Dakota Senate has passed legislation that would make the state the hardest in the nation to get an abortion.

The bill, House Bill 1456, would ban abortion after the first sign of a fetal heartbeat which can be as early as five weeks into pregnancy. The bill also prohibits doctors from performing abortions due to gender or genetic abnormalities. The Governor is expected to sign the measure. Continue reading
