The Islamic terrorist group al-Shabab claimed responsibility for an attack on the UN Offices in Mogadishu, Somalia, killing at least 15.
A witness told the BBC that a homicide bomber drove a car to the entrance of the UN compound and detonated his explosives. Four gunmen then ran through the opening in the wall and began to fire. Continue reading

Abdikafi Mohamed Ali was wounded during a military raid on a terrorist safe house in Bossaso. One soldier was killed in the raid and the area has been locked down to capture the terrorists who were able to flee the home during the raid. Continue reading
Four Minnesota men have been sentenced to prison for their role in supporting the al-Shabab terrorist group in Somalia.
Abdifatah Isse, Salah Ahmed and Ahmed Mahamud were sentenced to three years in prison for providing material support to terrorists. Omer Mohamed received a 12-year sentence for conspiracy to provide material support. Continue reading
UK Prime Minister David Cameron will be hosting a conference aimed at bringing peace to Somalia and driving the Islamic terrorist group al-Shabab from the country.
The conference will focus on rebuilding the security forces, stopping violence against women and ending the Islamic insurgency that has plagued the country for years. The insurgency and piracy connected to the Islamists contributed to the problems of a famine in Somalia from 2010-2012. Continue reading
Somalia’s Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon has told media outlets that the terrorists who carried out a bomb and gun attack on one of the city’s main courthouses were foreign terrorists.

President Obama has removed restrictions that would allow the U.S. military to provide assistance to the Somalian government in their fight against Islamic terrorists who still control large parts of the rural center of the country.

Terrorists launched a grenade attack that injured at least 10 Kenyan police officers was apparently carried out in retaliation for Kenyan military assistance to troops in Somalia fighting the al-Shabab Islamic terrorist organization.
The officers were assaulted as they searched a house near Mombasa for weapons. They were attacked after finding an AK-47 rifle and two grenades. Continue reading
Kenya’s military reports that African Union forces have launched an assault and control large parts of Kismayo, the biggest city still held by Islamic extremists. Operation “Sledge Hammer” launched at 2 a.m. local time.
Local witnesses told the Associated Press that the troops captured the port but that Al-Qaeda related extremists from Al-Shabab controlled other parts of the city. The city is the major source of revenue for the terrorist group as they assess “taxes” on all imported items. Continue reading
