Nigerian military forces captured a major leader of the Islamic terror group Boko Haram during a Sunday raid.

Police sources in Mubi, Nigeria are claiming that an attack that killed at least 26 people at a college hostel was connected to a student union election. However other sources are pointing out that Christians appear to have been targeted by men dressed as soldiers believed to be connected to the Islamic terror group Boko Haram.

Two people were killed and 48 wounded when the Al-Qaeda affiliated Islamic extremist group Boko Haram attacked a church on Sunday.

The BBC is reporting that the spokesman for the Al-Qaeda related terrorist group Boko Haram has been killed by Nigerian military forces.
A military spokesman told the BBC that two militants had been taken into custody by military forces and that one of the two men had later died while in custody. Boko Haram is refusing to confirm that their spokesman, Abu Qaqa, is the man who died while in government custody. Continue reading →
Al-Qaeda affiliated group Boko Haram is targeting the mobile telephone system in Nigeria claiming that the system is being used by the government to track their members.
Assaults on all 24 destroyed towers were accompanied with armed assaults on villagers and local police. Attacks happened throughout the country from the port city of Lagos in the south, Potiskum in the north and the capital city of Abuja. The damage is estimated in the millions of dollars.
