Christian Movie Gets R-Rating

The Motion Picture Association of America gave an R rating to a Christian movie and the church behind the movie believes it’s because of the film’s strong Christian message.

The MPAA told the Retta Baptist Church of Burleson, Texas the R rating was because of violence and drug use shown in the film “My Son.” Continue reading

Al-Qaeda Linked Syrian Rebel Group Attacks Christian Town

A Syrian rebel group with connections to the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda attacked the historically Christian village of Maaloula Wednesday starting with a homicide bomber from the Jabhat al-Nusra group blowing himself up at a government checkpoint according to the Observatory for Human Rights.

The rebels then seized the checkpoint and a mountaintop hotel that was used as a base to bomb Christian churches throughout the town. A Jewish temple was also damaged in the bombing assault. Continue reading

Department of Defense Calls Evangelical Christians and Catholics “Extremists”

On the heels of the discovery of a Pentagon training document calling the founding fathers of America “extremists” and labeling conservative organizations as hate groups, a training document has been uncovered calling evangelical Christians and Catholics as an “extremist” group in the same category as al-Qaeda and Hamas.

The document also lists Mormons on the extremist list along with Sunni Muslims. Strangely, Shia Muslims were not listed as an extremist group. Continue reading

Muslim Mobs Kill Christians In Egypt

Extremists Muslim have used the ouster of Mohammed Morsi as an excuse to kill and torture Egyptian Christians according to civil rights activists.

Muslim mobs have shot a priest dead in the middle of the street, marked Christian businesses with painted black X’s to target them for arson and churches have been besieged by mobs. Four Christians were slaughtered with machetes and knives in one village last week by an Islamic mob. Continue reading

U.S. Senator Appeals To Iranian People On Behalf Of Jailed American Christian Pastor

Idaho senator James Risch is making an appeal to the Iranian people for Christian Pastor Saeed Abedini, jailed in Iran’s brutal Evin prison for his faith. Abedini has been in prison for nearly 300 days suffering long periods in solitary confinement, beatings and torture at the hands of Iranian jailers.

Abedini traveled to Iran to help build an orphanage. He had lived in Iran prior to becoming a U.S. citizen and had been a key people in the home church movement. He was arrested in 2009 and released after pledging to stop organizing house churches. Continue reading
