Something Big is About to Happen!
Lori and I want so much for people to be ready for anything and I know in my heart that something big is about to happen!
I’m not the only one feeling this way! When Pastor John Hagee was here with us recently he said, “I think the message that God is sending to His children is that the King is coming, get ready, get ready, get ready, the Son of God is about to appear in the clouds of Heaven and this world is soon to be over.” Both, Pastor Hagee and Pastor Mark Biltz are warning of major prophetic events surrounding the appearance of the ‘blood moons’ in conjunction with Israel’s Holy Feast Days.
The signs in the heavens couldn’t be any more apparent, marking major prophetic events which will become clear as we wait on the Lord. The message right now is to get ready! If the church gets ready now, we can minister with compassion to many more people – and perhaps lead them to Jesus. Continue reading
“Thanks Mom for Teaching Us to Prepare”
On one of our recent shows with Dr. William Forstchen, the author of “One Second After,” we talked at length about preparing for emergencies and how some find it a matter of life or death while others devalue it in the most mocking ways they can. We can’t reach everyone with the message of emergency preparation, but we try our best to warn them and then if it’s received or not is up to them.
But you’d like to think that your own family would receive the wisdom of preparing, and some do while others continually brush it off. In fact, some family members (usually the younger ones) are way too busy with living life to pay attention to the real threats we face in our world. But it’s sooo gratifying when one of them “gets it.” Continue reading
Be Aware and Prepared (Pt. 1)
For some time now I have been extensively researching about how our daily lives would be affected if the power grids fail or if we experienced an EMP bomb. Most of us growing up in modern America cannot even conceive what this would be like.
It is very startling to realize that we could suddenly be thrust back into the living conditions of several centuries ago. Our current power grids are outdated and yet the demand for their usage continues to increase. Experts who have thoroughly studied the capacity and condition of the grids predict that a breakdown could very well happen in the near future if not corrected. Continue reading
Preparing Now for “Then”
I am so excited about our upcoming Ready Now Expo on March 10th – 14th! We have some of the most knowledgeable speakers and presenters on the planet joining us with information about ultimate survival strategies and products that we have found through extensive research.
There’s a song with a line that says, “I don’t care how you get here, just get here if you can!” That’s the way I feel about this Expo! Do everything you can to get here because this is one you don’t want to miss.
It’s been weighing heavy on my heart recently about why people should be prepared for anything! It’s more than just about not going hungry, which pulls on the heartstrings. None of us want our families to go hungry! Most of us would do just about anything to keep our loved ones alive – to keep them from starving to death in a famine. Wouldn’t we? Continue reading
Is Your Church Prepared?
I personally believe every church in America needs to prepare. In times of crisis or disaster, people turn to leaders for help. Even those who don’t belong to your church or congregation will come to you – and that’s a good thing! We want to share the Gospel in the Last Days! That’s what we were born for! That’s the reason God chose us to be living at this time in the history of the world! We were born for “such a time as this.”
While some may think that they’re obligation is more spiritual than practical in times of crisis, I assure you that until people’s physical needs are met, they’re not going to listen to your Gospel! There’s a verse in the Bible that talks about those who do nothing but pray and bless. This verse is usually quoted in the context of faith, but I want you to read it again in the context of practical preparations for others in need:
What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. (James 2:14-17 ESV) Continue reading
Why We Prepare
My good friend, John Shorey, has recently been with us for several days and we’ve had some of the most enlightening discussions to-date! John keeps telling people to keep an open mind about when the rapture occurs (according to scripture) and have spiritual eyes and ears to hear what the scriptures really say. I agree!
We have to read the Bible for ourselves in this day and time, and not lean on what we’ve “been taught” all our lives. Trusting in other people’s understanding of the End Times may cause you more suffering than necessary! Continue reading
“Prepper” Lifestyle is Spreading
CNN is reporting that more Americans are spending money to get ready for an uncertain future including stocking up on food, water, tools and skills that would help them survive a massive natural or man-made disaster.
The report also said the people getting involved in the activity are not what most people consider “lone wolves” but rather average American families who have genuine concerns about where the world is headed.
Charlie Hogwood of Personal Readiness Education Programs said that he sees a lot of people concerned about the collapse of the dollar. He also said that a lot of people think the more you have the easier it will be to survive but in reality those who prepare themselves and learn how to live will need less supplies because of their ability to grow food and filter water.
A provider of non-GMO seeds to prepper conventions says most of the attendees are people between 40 and 75 and over 80 percent of them have college degrees. He also said that most true preppers are not gun fanatics and do not buy into the conspiracy theories that most traditional media outlets use to denigrate those who are preparing for the future.
Time Has Come (Pt. 1)
I couldn’t be more excited about my new book, “Time Has Come.” This book has been many years in the making, and for me personally, it’s the most significant work of my life in print.
Almost 25 years ago when I was in prison, I studied every word of the book of Revelation and God illuminated things to me that I had never seen before. I hadn’t seen them because I was too busy building and expanding Heritage USA. I loved Jesus, but it took a prison experience for me to “come away” with Him and get still long enough to develop a deep relationship with Him – deeper than I had ever had before in the spotlight of celebrity renown – and deep enough that He could trust me with the mysteries He wanted to reveal to me.
When I came out of prison, I had over 400 typewritten pages of study on the book of Revelation, and a new perspective on the emphasis of my teaching ministry for the rest of my life. Where I had previously taught a regurgitated prosperity message, I now knew that not only was I wrong, but the Revelation message was diametrically opposed to what I had been teaching.
These studies and this perspective are what I now share in my new book, “Time Has Come.” The book of Revelation is a mystery to most people, even those who are within the Church, but it shouldn’t be – especially not now because it is happening right before our eyes. If the Church is asleep and cannot see that this age is about to come to an end and that Jesus is coming very, very soon, and its leaders do not preach the return of Jesus (in favor of a much more upbeat message), then the consequences are almost too terrible to ponder.
I received a few invitations to preach shortly after I was released from prison, but I was shocked and appalled when I heard time after time, “Jim, you can preach anything but the Revelation. We don’t want to scare our people and the Revelation is such a heavy topic.”
