Morningside is ready for our 4th of July Celebration!  Not only are we honoring our country, but we are also joyfully observing Pastor Jim Bakker’s 56 years of ministry! Beginning this Saturday, July 1st, we welcome you to a wonderful week of fascinating and informational preparedness and survival seminars, fantastic guest speakers, a partner’s picnic, a spectacular fireworks display on the 4th, uplifting worship, and so much more !

We hope you are able to make plans to be here with us, but for those who are unable to join us in person, we have great news!  All of our seminars, gospel concerts and worship services will be live streamed for YOU! Our show tapings will not be shown live but you can catch all of our amazing seminar broadcasts as well as worship every night with us on Grace Street! You won’t want to miss a moment!

Perry Stone ~ “God never quit speaking; people have quit listening!”

Recently, our special guest, International evangelist and teacher Perry Stone had much to say on The Jim Bakker Show! In fact there was so much information, that Pastor Jim felt that Stone’s new book, The Revelation Generation, and the impactful visions and teachings from Perry could only be experienced with a week’s worth of shows that will begin airing on Thursday, June 22!  We encourage you not to miss any of them!    

Perry Stone began his interview by speaking on our lack of listening to God’s Word in our lives.  “God has never quit speaking, people have quit listening,” he explained when discussing the subject of hearing from God.  “Everybody has natural ears, but there is the ear of the spirit, the spirit of the inward man.  People have allowed cares of life, as in Mark 4:19,… the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches and the lusts of other things entering in to choke the Word.

These are things that clutter people to where they cannot hear!”  

For months, The Jim Bakker Show has been bringing prophet after prophet to Morningside and most are speaking as one: that something big is coming, and we must be prepared for this.  We must listen to what the prophets are saying and HEAR them!  We must learn and listen in our own hearts to discern the truth!  We can listen to what they are saying, but are we actually hearing them?  Are we stopping long enough to hear from God?

Perry Stone encouraged “If people will open up that spiritual ear and remove the clutter that is in their mind and spirit and free that up, God will ALWAYS speak to people. He will give you a vision!”  In Revelation 2:29 Jesus says, “He that has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.”

No one can deny that there are Revelation Events happening now all over the world and that God has set forth a plan for Christ to return.  But he has never wished for us to be unprepared. He does nothing without revealing it to his servants.  Amos 3:7 (MEV)  “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets.“

God has revealed much to Perry Stone in his new book Revelation Generation. This book is filled with the Revelations that God has promised, examples of the natural and unnatural prophetic and historical events that are happening in our world and includes many prophecies that Perry, a proven prophet, has been given.

Norma McCorvey, from Roe to Pro Life, a journey of restoration

Norma McCorvey, the anonymous plaintiff known as Jane Roe in the Supreme Court's landmark 1973 Roe vs. Wade ruling legalizing abortion in the United States, testifies before the Senate Judiciary Committee along with Sandra Cano of Atlanta, Georgia, the "Doe" in the Doe v. Bolton Supreme Court case, on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, U.S. on June 23, 2005.

Norma McCorvey has been known over the past 4 decades as the anonymous plaintiff  Roe, in the deeply controversial Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade.  The year was 1973 when the highest Court held that a woman’s right to an abortion fell within the right to privacy protected by the Fourteenth Amendment. The decision gave a woman a right to abortion during the entirety of the pregnancy and defined different levels of state interest for regulating abortion in the second and third trimesters. From that moment to now, over 59,115,995 children have been aborted in the United States.

The journey of Norma McCorvey ended with her death on February 18th, 2017 but the divide between Pro-Choice and Pro-Life has moved no closer to resolution.  The rights of the unborn were not even a part of the lawsuit when the Supreme Court agreed to hear the case and the pro-life movement has been attempting to have those voices heard ever since.

Norma, interestingly enough, never had an abortion.  She never attended a single trial nor did she give a deposition.  She signed documents only once after failing to get an illegal abortion in which she actually went to term with the child later giving the baby up for adoption. In later years, she described herself as a “pawn” in the fight to legalize abortion.

McCorvey came forth about her part in Roe v. Wade when court documents were released, and she became the poster child of the pro-choice movement, working for abortion clinics and protesting against the pro-life message.  Her life had been battered from the beginning, but it was only when she became a Christian that she understood the full and tragic impact of Roe v. Wade.

In her book, Won By Love, she wrote:

“I was sitting in O.R.’s offices when I noticed a fetal development poster. The progression was so obvious, the eyes were so sweet. It hurt my heart, just looking at them. I ran outside and finally, it dawned on me. ‘Norma’, I said to myself, ‘They’re right’. I had worked with pregnant women for years. I had been through three pregnancies and deliveries myself. I should have known. Yet something in that poster made me lose my breath. I kept seeing the picture of that tiny, 10-week-old embryo , and I said to myself, that’s a baby! It’s as if blinders just fell off my eyes and I suddenly understood the truth—that’s a baby!

I felt crushed under the truth of this realization. I had to face up to the awful reality. Abortion wasn’t about ‘products of conception’. It wasn’t about ‘missed periods’. It was about children being killed in their mother’s wombs. All those years I was wrong. Signing that affidavit, I was wrong. Working in an abortion clinic, I was wrong. No more of this first trimester, second trimester, third trimester stuff. Abortion—at any point—was wrong. It was so clear. Painfully clear.”

Charisma magazine has written a powerful testimony of Norma’s path to God in the article, Norma McCorvey’s First Church Experience as a Believer where not only did Norma experience the love and forgiveness of Jesus, she also experienced the love and forgiveness of the body of Christ—the church.

Norma’s life has been told from every angle.  She had been called names from all sides and struggled daily to discover for herself who she was. It was through Christ that she finally discovered the truth.

William Branham, Jim Bakker, Prophets of Yesterday and Today

Prophets have been a unique part of humankind for thousands of years.  Discerning the prophetic word takes faith, but the true value of a prophet and his or her visions are only if they stand the tests of time.  

Pastor Jim Bakker has been prophesying for over fifty years.  He was willing to listen to God’s words and be obedient enough to step out on faith and say YES! Many of his prophecies have stood the test of time. His warning only weeks before the Boston Marathon attack and predictions regarding 9/11, as well as many others, are well documented.  Sometimes God repeats His message, mirroring another prophet with a reminder of what to expect with additional warnings, but many times we do not see the full meaning of the prophecy until time has passed.  

There have been many prophets of God in whom the Lord has trusted.  In an article called YEAR IN REVIEW: William Branham’s 7 Prophetic Visions That Came to Pass, written for Charisma magazine, Pastor Bakker speaks of William Branham who had seven very distinct prophecies in 1933.  

We would be remiss if we did not include the word that Pastor Bakker received for his New Year’s message last year as 2016 began.  His message was vast and included many of the prophecies of William Branham but in his main message he said:

“God spoke to me last night in an unusual way. One of the things He said to me was, ‘It’s time to batten down the hatches’. Why would HE say ‘Batten down the Hatches’? When a storm is coming, ships batten down the hatches. God is telling us to get ready for the storm!”

Perhaps we were expecting a storm of a different kind, maybe it wasn’t a natural disaster we were to look for at all.  Maybe the storm in which we were to “Batten down the Hatches” was actually a tumultuous political storm from a deeply emotional election year.  This monster storm raged for months, tearing apart friends, family and neighbors. Perhaps this is what God was warning us about. This fight to the end between Liberals and Conservatives was about as predictable as a hurricane. All we really know for sure is that in most Christian’s minds and hearts, God had His hand on the outcome of this election.

Some feel that Pastor Jim’s prophecy has yet to be played out, but when God wants to communicate on broad terms to His children, sometimes we just have to take it at face value and be ready, be warned, be prepared and “Batten down the hatches” for whatever will come next.    

All prophecy comes from faith.  Our God will continue to use his prophets throughout the world.  “Believe in the Lord your God and you will be supported.  Believe His Prophets, and you will succeed.”

The time is short before this historical election comes to an end, and the future of the United States of America hangs in the balance.  The fight to make our country strong will begin as each voter arrives at their polling place stands up for the morals that, as Christians, we have watched rapidly deteriorate.  The safety of this nation and the future nation that we leave for our children is on the line.  As a whole, we have passively trusted our government.

Dr. Lance Wallnau speaking tonight! Book Signing! Live Stream Event!

Tonight, Dr. Lance Wallnau will be speaking at Morningside for our evening service.  Dr. Wallnau is a dynamic teacher, internationally recognized speaker, and business consultant with a unique and powerful gift for imparting the Word of God.  He is also the author of the book, GOD’S CHAOS CANDIDATE.  Earlier this year, he was asked to meet with Republican Candidate, Donald Trump, before the primaries.  He felt that there was an anointing on Mr. Trump and was confused by this feeling as he actually preferred other candidates.  

Wallnau saw a meme on Facebook showing Trump as the nation’s 45th President and at about the same time he felt the Lord tell him to read Isaiah 45, which says “King Cyrus who is called the Lord’s “anointed” and later in the chapter says, “I have even called you by your name…though you have not known Me.”

Dr. Wallnau also felt he heard the Lord tell him “Common grace”. Upon looking that term up, he discovered that “common grace” was a term the Reformers used to contrast “saving grace” – a basic understanding of God that influenced governments and societies even though the people who had this common grace might not have experienced “saving grace.”

World events need discernment: Lt. Col. Bob Maginnis returning to Morningside

It seems that everywhere we look, the uncertainty and controversy going on in the world  lives just beyond our understanding. Most of us try to grapple with what the local and national news agencies report, but many times they use their own commentary rather than actual facts. We are always trying to decipher and piece together the real enemy. It is no wonder that there will be times in which we turn our heads away from it all because it is just too difficult to comprehend.   Here on The Jim Bakker Show, we know that it takes someone immersed within that world to understand it.  There are truly amazing communicators who have blessed The Jim Bakker Show with discernment and experience, and they have the knowledge to bring perspective on what is REALLY happening in our world today. Lieutenant Colonel Robert (Bob) Maginnis, internationally known expert on national security and foreign affairs, is one of those communicators.

He served in command and staff positions in four infantry divisions from platoon to division level. The colonel was the chief for the U.S. Army Infantry School’s leadership and ethics training branch. Colonel Maginnis’ service in the armed forces was commended with the Legion of Merit, one of the highest Army peacetime decorations, as well as with five meritorious medals and four commendation medals.

This is an honored man who has served the United States for decades.  His voice is one we should all be listening to.

September arrives with a visit from William Forstchen

September is upon us, and we are just weeks from a truly historical election.  Last March, Dr. William Forstchen gave his feelings regarding voting and about our place as American citizens.

“Abraham Lincoln, is one of my heroes who I rate with George Washington as one of the two greatest presidents we’ve ever had.. Abraham Lincoln once said: ‘we shall either nobly save, or meanly lose, the last best hope of mankind.’” Forstchen added, “I believe that now. In November we shall either nobly save, or meanly lose the last best hope on Earth. That is how important this has become.”

Mr. Forstchen continued, “When the declaration was signed,  Benjamin Franklin proclaimed, ‘Gentlemen, we shall either all hang together, or we shall hang separately. And we pledge our lives and our sacred honor upon what we do here.”

“ How many of you have walked the fields of Gettysburg?” Forstchen asked. “ How many of you have looked at the thousands of graves in which Lincoln said in his infamous speech at the very end, ‘That government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from this Earth’.”

 

With soft emotion, William described how those soldiers, in all of our history, gave their last full measure of devotion.   He explained that he always tells people that when you walk into a voting booth, you must hold close in your heart and mind the sacrifice that millions of American’s have made. You must remember that this is not something trivial and absolutely not about some 30- second ad about who told the biggest lie..

 

“I want you to go in there saying to yourself that men and women gave their last full measure of devotion.  I want you to be thinking and praying before pulling the level and vote for a person that you honestly feel will respect the millions of martyrs who gave us our freedom.”

What is happening in Turkey? Joel Richardson returning to Morningside!

With all that is happening in Turkey and the Middle East today, it is difficult to stay on top of the players and how these countries’ actions are fitting within the prophecies of the Bible.  That is why we are thrilled to have Joel Richardson returning here Monday, July 25th and the 26th at 7:00pm for The Prophets Speak program as well as taping of The Jim Bakker Show Tuesday, July 26th beginning at noon!  

We trust Joel Richardson and his well researched, hands-on knowledge of the Middle East and the beliefs of its people. For the last couple of years, Joel has opened our eyes and gave us an understanding of the Bible and these end days with a clarity few can offer.  He taught us a very important lesson. In order to understand events happening today to Muslims, Islamic governments and Radical Islam, you must first take a glimpse into their world.
