France Increases Troop Strength In Mali Conflict
France has increased its troop strength in Mali as they have officially joined the ground war against Islamic terrorists attempting to overthrow the Malian government.
“The actions of French forces, be it air forces or ground forces, are ongoing,” France’s Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian told reporters. The troops are working beside Malian military forces in the town of Diabaly, about 200 miles north of the Malian capital. Continue reading
UK Begins Support Of French Intervention In Mali
A second European nation has joined the battle against Islamic terrorists attempting to overthrow the Malian government as the UK has begun to transport French troops and supplies via C17 aircraft.

Despite statements from French military officials that Islamic extremists are retreating throughout Mali since French intervention, reporters on the ground say that the government has lost a major city.
The Islamists today in a surprise counter-attack on Malian army forces, took Bamako, about 250 miles from the capital. French defense minister Jean-Yves Le Drian confirmed to BFM television the Malian army was unable to hold their grounds. Continue reading

Mali Government Fighting Islamist Insurgency
Malian military troops have begun firing on Islamists in the center part of the country as the extremists attempted to move on government controlled parts of the country according to BBC sources.
