Woman Arrested For Stun Gunning Children

A Florida woman is under arrest after she reportedly used stun guns to punish children under her care.

Letina Smith, 41, was arrested after three children under 9-years-old told police that she had used a “pink, rectangle shaped” machine with “two points of electricity”on them when she said they misbehaved.

Investigators say they were able to interview the children after being alerted by officials at Sunrise Elementary School.

Officials could not say what the relationship is with the children. She was jailed on just $3,000 bond.

San Francisco Groups To Hand Out Free Crack Pipes

A group of San Francisco activists say they are planning to distribute free clean crack pipes to any addict that wants one.

The group claims that by providing the clean pipes, they are essentially providing the same service that the city is providing to drug addicts that inject via needles.

The city of San Francisco gives out approximately 2.7 million clean needles each year to addicts in an effort to lower the rates of blood transferred diseases like HIV and Hepatitis-C.

Laura Thomas of the HIV Prevention and Planning Council has made a formal recommendation to the city’s health department to have the city implement the plan.   She said that the program would allow addicts to feel respected and likely make more of them come in for treatment for their diseases.

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee said that he is not supportive of the proposal because he believes there are many other ways to control HIV without giving out free drug paraphernalia.

Some advocates say they will give out crack pipes even without the government approval, in violation of state and federal laws.

Grammy Awards Called “Really Demonic”

The Grammy Awards have caused significant controversy that has led several commentators and celebrities to call them “evil” and “demonic.”

Former Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron, who is preparing for the NFL Draft, took to Twitter to question the performances.

“Is it just me or are some of the Grammy performances so far seem to be really demonic?” McCarron tweeted.  “Looks like there is a lot of evil in the world.”

His words were likely referring to the performance by Katy Perry in which she was dressed as a witch, had multiple symbols on stage considered to be satanic symbols and was burned at the stake. McCarron later responded to someone on Twitter saying that he wondered what Perry’s father, a pastor, had to say about what she had done.

The performance of Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z also drew complaints because of their overt sexual moves. At one point, Jay-Z fondles intimate parts of his wife’s body on stage.

Teacher Fired For Watching Pornography At Work Rehired

A teacher who was caught watching pornography was offered his job back by a Wisconsin school district after a state arbitrator and the state Supreme Court ruled he could not be fired for it.

Andrew Harris was fired from his job as a seventh-grade teacher for collecting, distributing and watching pornography on his school-issued computer.  The investigation was launched after Harris started showing pornographic images to a female teacher in his school.

The teacher’s union then filed a grievance claiming his dismissal was unfair.  A state arbitrator then ruled in favor of the teacher saying it was unfair of the school to fire him for viewing and distributing pornography from the computer.  The arbitrator ordered the teacher to be rehired to his same job or a similar job and be paid back pay for the time he was out of work.

The cost of the back pay to taxpayers is nearly $200,000.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court validated the arbitrator’s decision by refusing to hear the case.

The school district then offered a similar position to Harris because they felt the $1 million spent defending themselves in the lawsuit was enough to ask from taxpayers.

Parents in the school district are outraged, demanding to know why a teacher who is watching pornography around underage kids is not a threat to the children. They also question how the teacher’s union could say this teacher did nothing worth being fired.

My Heart for My Generation

We really are living in such a prophetic time!  This is a time like never before or ever again.  It’s such a worldly time and there’s hardly anything on television worth watching.  Jim and I have become news junkies because of this fact!

It breaks my heart to see some of the things the kids are now subjected to on television, and they’re watching it because that’s all there is!  What troubles me is that we are losing all of our values, not just in this nation but in the world!  This isn’t just a cliché – it’s a fact – a fact that anyone who loves God should be alarmed about.

For my generation, even in the crazy times we didn’t lose our values.  We still knew right from wrong but now, there isn’t any such thing!  It’s considered hateful now to even voice your opinion of what is right and wrong.  Everybody is doing what they think is right in their own eyes!  The Bible talks about that!  (Judges 17:6, 21:25, Proverbs 14:12) Continue reading

Nuclear Missile Officers In Cheating Scandal

The men who have their fingers on the button have been cheating to keep them there.

Thirty-four nuclear missile launch officers have been stripped of their certification and duty after it was discovered they had been cheating on monthly required tests to maintain their positions.  The cheating was discovered during an unrelated investigation into drug use among Air Force officers.

Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James told reporters Wednesday that the officers were texting each other answers.  The tests were monthly exams on the operation of the missile systems.  In addition to the officers who actually cheated, any officer aware of the cheating who did not report the situation to superior officers were also removed from duty.

Three of the officers involved in the cheating scandal were also arrested as part of a drug sting that covered six bases in the U.S. and England.

The missile command system covers 450 nuclear missiles.

Middle School Poster Shows Explicit Sex

A Kansas middle school student was shocked to see a poster hanging in her classroom that depicted explicit sexual behavior.

The 13-year-old photographed the poster on her cell phone and showed it to her parents who were shocked by the graphic content.  The parents believed at first the poster titled “How Do People Express Their Sexual Feelings?” was a student prank.

They were shocked even more to call the school and find out that the poster is part of the school’s approved health education curriculum.

Mark Ellis said he’s concerned what his daughter is being taught at Hocker Grove Middle School now that the poster has been declared “teaching material” by the school’s principal.

“It upsets me,” he told Fox News. “And again, it goes back to who approved this? You know this had to pass through enough hands that someone should have said, ‘Wait a minute, these are 13-year-old kids, we do not need to be this in-depth with this sexual education type of program.’”

A district spokeswoman told Fox News the poster must be viewed as part of the bigger curriculum that she claimed was abstinence-based.

CDC Report Says 38 Million Americans Drink Too Much Alcohol

The Centers for Disease Control has released a report showing that over 38 million Americans drink too much alcohol on a regular basis.

The report says that most Americans who fall into the category of too much alcohol consumption are not actually alcoholics. They classify the people as “problem drinkers” who will binge drink or drink on specific days of the week.

The CDC also cited healthcare providers as providing poor information regarding the impact that alcohol can have on a person’s health and well being over time. Excessive alcohol consumption has been shown to enhance or cause liver disease, infections and cancer risks.

The CDC recommends anyone who consumes alcohol have an “honest chat” with their doctors regarding the impact of alcohol to their health.

Over 100 Arrested In Social Security Scam

Arrests are being carried out in over 10 states as part of an investigation into a massive Social Security fraud scheme.

The joint federal and state investigation alleges that over $24 million has been dispersed in fraudulent disability payments. At least 102 of the people being arrested are beneficiaries that claimed to be unable to work a job or leave their home but were witnessed leading very active lives.

In addition, lawyers, disability consultants, and recruiters are facing multiple charges for their parts in the scheme including coaching people to defraud the government.

A source told the Wall Street Journal a number of former NYPD and NYFD members will be arrested as part of the fraud.

The Social Security Administration has been focusing on fraud under pressure from Congress to tighten up the disability process. Six months ago, investigators arrested 70 people from Puerto Rico on similar charges.

Boy Kills Cousin Over Xbox

A 16-year-old Chicago youth has lost his life over a computer gaming system.

Raymond Galloway was shot by his 13-year-old cousin as he slept around 6 a.m. Sunday. He was rushed to a Chicago area hospital where he died about 90 minutes later.

According to a police report, the two teens had been fighting earlier in the evening over an Xbox.

The boy confessed to police that the shooting was in the presence of his mother. He was taken into custody and charged as a juvenile with first-degree murder. The judge decided not to allow bail in the case.

Police say that they do not know where the boy obtained the 9mm semi-automatic handgun used for the shooting. No adults have been charged in the case.
