Government officials throughout the northeast U.S. are telling residents to “stock up” on supplies and to prepare for extended power outages as a massive winter storm moves into the region.

New York City Health Commissioner, Dr. Thomas Farley, on Thursday declared a flu epidemic in the city of New York.

State Police and National Guard Deployed to Gas Stations in Sandy’s Wake
Tensions have reached boiling points at the few open gas stations in the northeastern U.S. resulting in State Police and National Guard being called out to protect them and keep the peace.
In New Jersey, the governor ordered State Police to be deployed to all gas stations along the NJ Turnpike and Garden State Parkway. Area residents said that they needed gasoline for generators because they had no electricity. Continue reading

Terrorist Bomb Plot In New York Stopped
A man who thought he was about to set off a thousand pound bomb in front of the Federal Reserve building in New York was arrested by the FBI Wednesday. Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis of Bangladesh came to the US with the sole purpose of carrying out a terrorist attack according to FBI reports.
