Bible App Reveals Most Searched Verses in 2014
The YouVersion Bible app has released a list of the most searched Bible verses during the year 2014.
According to all searches, Romans 12:2 is the verse read more than any other:
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
The administrators of the program say that 164 million smartphone and tablet users around the world have downloaded the YouVersion Bible app. 87 percent of Christians worldwide who have internet access have been reached by the app.
Philippians 4:8 and Philippians 4:6 finished second and third in the list. The number four verse on the list, Jeremiah 29:11, was most popular in Canada, the U.K., Australia and South Africa.
The app’s creators hope to have the ability to reach all 6,901 languages in the world through a program called Every Tribe Every Nation.
Anti-Christianists Demand Removal Of Statue With Scripture Reference
Two virulent anti-Christian groups’ latest action to try and remove Christians from society is to tell a high school in Georgia they must remove a sculpture because it contains a Bible reference.
The Freedom from Religion Foundation and the American Humanist Association are threatening the Madison County School District in Danielsville, Georgia. The school has a monument outside the field house of the high school that contains Romans 8:31 and Philippians 4:13.
The monument was paid for by private funds.
“The district violates the Constitution when it allows its schools to display religious symbols messages. Schools may not advance, prefer or promote religion,” the letter from anti-Christian FFRF attorney Andrew Seidel asserted. “The Bible verses on this monument violate this basic constitutional prohibition by creating the appearance that the school, and by extension the district, prefer religion to non-religion and Christianity to all other religions.”
The school’s superintendent says they are looking into options including removing the Bible verses or removing the monument.

Faith That Answers Fear (Pt. 2)
With everything that’s happening in our world right now, it sometimes challenges our level of courage to live through it all without fear. But, that is exactly what Jesus said that we should do. In fact, He says it very clearly right in the middle of the scriptures that tell of these frightful events.
“When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened.” (Luke 21:9)
And just a few verses later, He repeats the admonition to be careful not to fear.
“Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap.” (Luke 21:34) Continue reading

Devout Christian Bubba Watson Wins Masters Championship
Bubba Watson, a dedicated follower of Christ, outclassed the field at Augusta Country Club to win his second Masters championship.
Watson, now a two-time champion, said that two years between wins were a time of significant change in his “attitude toward life.”
“I became a dad,” said Watson. “I see myself as a role model for my son now, not as a golfer but as the man I am. I want to be a role model for him. I don’t want him to look up to anyone else. I want him to look up to me and so I had to change my attitude, had to change my life, the way I was going about it. Not a lot but a little bit, just to get better.”
Watson kept contact through the tournament with his pastor, Judah Smith of City Church in Seattle. Smith told the golfer to study Philippians 4:11 and to rejoice that God has allowed him to live a dream.
Watson, who says he’s a Christian first, husband and father second and pro golfer third, has been known to organize hour long Bible studies for fellow PGA golfers.
“For me it’s a way to get back connected with the Bible and with God and Jesus. Now you know other people you can talk to, ask questions to, tell them what you’re thinking, tell them what’s going on in your life,” Watson said. “Getting more in the Word and realizing that golf is just an avenue for Jesus to use me to reach as many people as I can.”
“I’ve really got a good team around me trying to help me succeed,” Watson said. “Not just in golf, but off the golf course, to be a light for Jesus.”
Watson celebrated the win with his pastor, his wife and friends at a Waffle House.
