A homicide bomb attack on a police station in the eastern Afghanistani city of Jalalabad has killed five police officers along with the terrorists.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon told the Security Council on Tuesday that the Taliban might be willing to talk with the UN about minimizing causalities in Afghanistan.

A Muslim cleric who is was the imam of a downtown Miami mosque has been convicted of sending tens of thousands of dollars to the Taliban in Pakistan.
77-year-old Hafiz Khan has been convicted on two counts of conspiracy and two counts of providing material support to terrorists. Each charge has a maximum 15-year prison term. Khan will be sentenced May 30. Continue reading
