55 Percent Of Spanish Youth Unemployed

Revelation 6:5,6 NCV When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse, and its rider held a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard something that sounded like a voice coming from the middle of the four living creatures. The voice said, "A quart of wheat for a day's pay, and three quarts of barley for a day's pay, and do not damage the olive oil and wine!"

Spain’s unemployment rate has set a new record with 55 percent of the nation’s youth unable to find work.

The unemployment rate for the entire country rose to 26 percent with almost six million out of work.

Spain’s economy is sinking further into recession after a property crash. Millions of low-skilled workers that routinely worked construction positions are unable to find jobs as building starts have virtually stopped.

Making bad news worse is that analysts are predicting things to get worse.

“We haven’t seen the bottom yet and employment will continue falling in the firsrt quarter [of 2013],” Jose Luis Martinez of Citigroup told the BBC.

However, youth unemployment is not only a problem in Spain. Italy reported that 37 percent of their youth are out of work. Greece’s rate continues to hover around 50 percent.
