Islamist “Manifesto” Shows Divisions In Malian Terrorists

Revelation 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

A “manifesto” discovered by journalists covering the fighting between French forces and Islamic terrorists in Mali appears to indicate divisions between the terror groups trying to take over the nation.

A French newspaper published the paper allegedly written by Abdel Malek Droukdel, the head of Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb. AQIM is the leading terror group in the attempt to overthrow the Mali government.

The document shows Droukdel warning the Islamic groups against installing Sharia Law too early because it could lead to western intervention. He specifically warned them that it would be likely France would invade should they institute Sharia Law.

The situation turned exactly how Droukdel warned after France brought 4,000 troops to drive out the terrorists who instilled harsh Sharia Law on the northern occupied part of the country.

The paper also calls several of the native Malian leaders “hotheads” and warns them to take a “softer” approach to overthrowing the government. The theory being worked by French officials now is that these “hotheads” pushed their offensive against the government too quickly and weakened their forces by spreading them too thin.

The paper also criticizes the destruction of ancient shrines by the terrorists, claiming that could be a spark to invite western intervention. Droukdel also warns that western powers “still have a lot of cards to play.”
