The head of the terrorist group Hezbollah told a gathering in Beirut that Syria is going to be providing their group with “game-changing weapons” less than a week after alleged Israeli airstrikes destroyed a shipment of Iranian missiles that were being transported out of Syria.
Israel has not admitted being behind the strikes but did say that they would strike against any shipment of missiles bound for the terrorist group.
Hassan Nasrallah spoke to a group that was celebrating the 25th anniversary of Hezbollah’s radio station via video conference. Nasrallah has rarely been seen in public since 2006 because he lives in fear of Israel targeting him.
“Syria will give the resistance special weapons it never had before,” Nasrallah said. “We mean game-changing.”
Israel has asked Russia to stop the sale of an advanced air defense system to Syria which could then be sent to the terrorist group. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said Thursday the transfer would be “destabilizing” for Israel’s security.
