Community Rallies Around “In God We Trust”

Mark 13:13 “You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.”

When the anti-Christian Freedom from Religion Foundation threatened the E.J. Moss Intermediate School over a production of “In God We Trust”, school administrators removed all references to religion from the script.

But the community of Lindale, Texas were not about to let anti-Christian bigotry stop their children from proclaiming the name of Christ.

Over 2,000 people came to First Baptist Church of Lindale Wednesday night to hear the students perform the “in God We Trust” musical with all of the references to Christ in place. The crowd was so big that not only was the church’s performing arts center and two overflow rooms packed with residents, others had to stay in the church’s yard and listen to the children through open church windows.

“I’m glad we get to re-do it and have the whole thing to talk about God and everything,” 5th grader Katherine Havens told KLTV.

The crowd included elected state officials and the couple who wrote the musical production.
