Islamists Jailed For Terrorist Plot

Matthew 24:10,11 Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

Six British men who planned to kill right-wing politicians at a rally were sentenced to almost twenty years in prison for the plot.

Omar Khan, Jewel Uddin, Mohammed Hasseen, Mohammed Saud, Zohaib Ahmed and Anzai Hussain confessed in April to terrorism related offenses. The men plotted to attack an English Defense League rally but arrived two hours after the event. They were only discovered when one of their cars was stopped by police and found to have no insurance.

The men had weapons including an 18-inch long nail bomb stuffed with shrapnel. Judge Nicholas Hillard said the device was a “horrible weapons” that would have caused significant injuries.

“There is no reason to suppose that a further attempt may not have been made in the future had the defendants not been apprehended. I find it inconceivable that your resolve would have evaporated,” Judge Hilliard told the men.

In a message aimed at their target, the men wrote “today is a day of retaliation (especially) for your blasphemy of Allah and his Messenger Muhammad.”
