Abortion Proponents Disrupt Texas Senate; Governor Calls Special Session

Matthew 19:18 ESV “And Jesus said, “You shall not murder…”

Editor’s Note: Throughout the scriptures, God has made it clear that shedding innocent blood is murder, and no murderer will enter heaven. In addition to the death of the unborn baby, abortion also substantially harms the women and many times, families, husbands, boyfriends and a whole sphere of relationships connected to and surrounding each abortion. Often, lifelong guilt and other social, relational, spiritual and even physical problems follow the murder of innocent babes in the womb. Pastor Jim Bakker believes that this issue, abortion, may be the single most significant issue that brings God’s judgment on this nation more than any other.

Democrat Texas Senator Wendy Davis tried to stop a vote on a Texas abortion law that passed the House by a large margin and seemed to fail when 15 minutes before midnight she was found to have violated the rules of a filibuster.

But pro-abortion advocates then screamed and yelled for half an hour to keep the Texas Senate from being able to carry out their duties as elected officials causing the bill to die because it was not voted on before the midnight deadline.

“Thousands of orange-clad abortion-rights activists who packed the Texas Capitol all day began roaring louder and louder until they literally shouted down the final minutes of the 30-day special session before Republicans could pass the bill,” quoted the Texas Observer.

“An unruly mob using Occupy Wall Street tactics has tried all day to derail legislation that has been intended to protect the lives and the safety of women and babies. … I’m very frustrated … I didn’t lose control of what we were doing. We had an unruly mob of hundreds, if not thousands, of people in here, and we couldn’t communicate with our members,” Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst announced.

Governor Rick Perry responded to the unruly mob supported by Democratic lawmakers by calling a second special session to deal with the abortion law.
