Judge Blocks North Dakota Abortion Law

Matthew 19:18 ESV “And Jesus said, “You shall not murder…”

Editor’s Note: Throughout the scriptures, God has made it clear that shedding innocent blood is murder, and no murderer will enter heaven. In addition to the death of the unborn baby, abortion also substantially harms the women and many times, families, husbands, boyfriends and a whole sphere of relationships connected to and surrounding each abortion. Often, lifelong guilt and other social, relational, spiritual and even physical problems follow the murder of innocent babes in the womb. Pastor Jim Bakker believes that this issue, abortion, may be the single most significant issue that brings God’s judgment on this nation more than any other.

A judge ruled on Wednesday to block North Dakota’s law that would require doctors performing abortions to have admitting privileges at a local hospital.

“Certainly none of this comes as a surprise,” East Central District Judge Wickham Corwin said as he issued his injunction stopping the law from taking effect.

Rep. Spencer Berry (R), a doctor from Fargo who once held hospital privileges to deliver babies, sponsored the bill. He said the legislation is meant to insure the health and safety of women and that obtaining credentials is not difficult.

North Dakota’s only abortion clinic performs about 1,200 killings of babies each year. Out-of-state doctors who are licensed to practice in North Dakota serve the clinic.

The abortion proponents argued to the judge that the law withholds necessary services to women, explore doctors to the threat of prosecution and deprive clinic workers of the right to earn a living.

Pro-abortion protesters stood outside the clinic holding signs that said “Abortion Providers Are Heroes” and “Abortion on Demand & Without Apology.”
