Egyptian Government Says Foreign Mediation “Has Failed”

Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

Egypt’s interim head of state says that an international effort to end the situation in the country has failed and that the government will begin taking further steps to resolve the situation.

Adly Mansour stated that talking to diplomats from the U.S., EU, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates has brought no solutions to the violent protests held by supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and ousted President Mohammed Morsi.

“These efforts have not achieved the hoped-for results,” the Egyptian presidency said in a statement. “[We] “holds the Muslim Brotherhood completely responsible for the failure of these efforts, and for consequent events and developments relating to violations of the law and endangering public safety”.

More than 250 people have been killed in protests since Morsi’s removal on July 3rd.
