Luke 21:12 “But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.
A mob of Islamic extremists attacked a Franciscan church school, burning it to the ground, and forced nuns to be paraded around like trophies.
The Daily Mail reported police had warned the nuns that Islamic terror groups were targeting them under the false claim they had given “inappropriate education” to Muslim children.
“We are nuns. We rely on God and the angels to protect us,” Sister Manal, principal of the school, told police. “At the end, they paraded us like prisoners of war and hurled abuse at us as they led us from one alley to another without telling us where they were taking us.”
The mob ripped the cross of the gates of the building and replaced it with a flag very similar to al-Qaeda.
The head of the local Coptic Orthodox church has told supporters to not resist the mobs of fanatical Islamists in an attempt to avoid any Christians being killed for resisting their efforts.
“The looters were so diligent that they came back to one of the five churches they had already ransacked to see if they could get more,” Bishop Ibram told the Daily Mail.
While Christian persecution rose noticeably after the Arab Spring revolution that removed Hosni Mubarak from power, violence against Christians has increased exponentially by Islamists since the removal of Mohammed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood from power.
