God is Warning Us Through His Word

Our time is running out to really do some of the things God wants us to do. But, if God’s people will begin to turn back to Him, we can see a real move of God.

In the middle of the night, God woke me up and led me to open my Bible so I turned on my phone for light (for old fogies that don’t know what they’re doing) and the first scripture the Lord said to read – I’m reading it and it is so shocking to me…

It is going to happen so soon… it literally puts the fear of God in me. Rick Joyner said when you see the extremes (hot/cold highs/lows, when meters flip) that means the engine is about to explode!

Rick said, without beating around the bush, we’re going to have martial law unless America really turns back to God. There’s no hope without God! Rick said all the money that we (America) owes would be equal to the worth of everything on this earth including your shoes, your glasses, your house, your cars, everything! He said everything we own is equal to the real debt – not the debt they tell us we have but the real debt that the experts are telling us. READ MORE

The Christmas Story (Part 2)

The Angels Visit the Shepherds

In those days the government decided that they should count everyone that lived in that area of the world. So Joseph had to take Mary to his town, Bethlehem to register.

It took Mary and Joseph a long time to get to Bethlehem.  They didn’t have cars back then, so it probably took them a lot longer to get there.  This was very tiring for Mary because she was soon going to have a baby.

When they reached the town, all the hotels were full and there was nowhere that they could stay.  Finally, someone felt bad for them, and offered them a place to stay.

The Bible doesn’t say for sure where they stayed but most people think that they stayed in a small barn where animals were kept.  In any case, doesn’t it seem strange that Jesus, the King of the Jews wasn’t born in a fancy palace or even a hospital?

Mary and Joseph were thankful that they at least had a place to lay down.  It was warm, and there was plenty of straw to lay on. READ MORE

Red Lights of Prophecy Flashing

We are living in amazing days!  This is the time the Bible refers to as the last days which are sometimes called perilous times, and also called, “The days of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.”

Look at Acts 2:17-21 and see the good and bad events of these days!…

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke:

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. KJV READ MORE

The Christmas Story (Part 1)

Hello Everyone!

Each year about this time, I like to remind families how important it is to tell the Christmas story to our little ones.  Even the older ones love to hear the true Christmas story about the birth of Jesus.  The Christmas story is paraphrased below from the New Testament Books of Matthew and Luke in the Bible.  It will be told here in 4 parts.  Be sure you print them and keep them to read to the children at your family gathering this Christmas!

Remembering Paul Crouch

Jim Bakker & Paul Crouch

Our hearts are saddened by the news of Paul Crouch’s passing. Paul’s great accomplishment of building the world’s largest conglomerate of Christian television networks and stations is his living legacy that will continue to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to millions around the world. Paul’s passion for broadcasting influenced my life as a young boy when he was youth pastor of the church I attended in Muskegon, Michigan. Later on in life we worked together in the early years of Trinity Broadcasting Network. Paul Crouch is truly one of the fathers of Christian television.

Reflections on Thankfulness

As I reflect on this past year, I couldn’t be more thankful for my station in life which includes my amazing marriage, motherhood and ministry.  I have been so blessed in this life and love these scriptures that talk about blessing:

Matthew 5:2-12

And opening His mouth He began to teach them, saying, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. “Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when men cast insults at you, and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, on account of Me. “Rejoice, and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Choose Thankfulness!

No matter what your station in life, no matter your situation or your circumstance, there is always something to be thankful for. In fact, thankfulness is a choice that we make each moment of our lives as we live in this fallen world and wait for the final redemption from it.

The truth that we must all get down deep into our souls is that Jesus has already redeemed us, if we believe in Him and receive Him as our Lord and Savior. When this world and its problems challenge our sense of eternal well-being, the scriptures provide all the answers we need to confront and overcome the lies of the enemy.

Today, I am so thankful for the Word of God and its supernatural ability to keep us in Times of Trouble in this world. Ephesians 6:17 describes the Word of God as the Sword of the Spirit with which we can fight and be able to stand, and having done all…. Stand! READ MORE

Motherhood (Pt. 3)

I thought of another Bible verse I had memorized: “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten.” God was doing that in my life, giving back the years I had lost because of my sin and rebellion. He had done it in several areas already.

Having made the choice to have five abortions, I lost the opportunity to ever have children. Yet God had blessed me with many spiritual offspring—like “my girls,” Kelli, Nicks, Morgan, Nina, and Michelle Murillo. He’d given me an inner-city family—Margie’s family—complete with a namesake, Little Lori.

Margie had been pregnant with her eighth child when we met at the Fashion Share. Margie had accepted Jesus as her Savior and the church had outfitted her with maternity clothes and accessories. Two months later I was in the delivery room when her baby was born.

My mind drifted back to that occasion, December 6, 1990……. READ MORE

Why We Prepare

My good friend, John Shorey, has recently been with us for several days and we’ve had some of the most enlightening discussions to-date! John keeps telling people to keep an open mind about when the rapture occurs (according to scripture) and have spiritual eyes and ears to hear what the scriptures really say. I agree!

We have to read the Bible for ourselves in this day and time, and not lean on what we’ve “been taught” all our lives. Trusting in other people’s understanding of the End Times may cause you more suffering than necessary! READ MORE

Motherhood (Pt. 2)

Mother’s Day 2000

I gave Jim a quick kiss when I read his cards, and then I opened the package, which he had meticulously wrapped himself. Inside was a darling little doll in a green travel case. The pretty blond had on a frilly dress and tiny little socks and patent leather shoes.

“She’s adorable honey. Thank you.”

“She’s blonde and beautiful, just like you.”

Jim served me lunch, and we chatted about our ministry schedule and upcoming events as we ate. When we finished our meal, I stood up and started to clear the coffee table.

“Leave that for a minute,” He said. “I have another present for you—“ READ MORE
