When You Think You’re All Alone…

Thanksgiving is usually a time that friends and family gather together and enjoy one another.  That is, when there is peace in your soul and you have family and friends that care for you.  But I also know there are many without that peace and without family and friends to surround you.

I want you to know today that there is a God who loves you.  You are not alone.  If you do not know Him, today is the day to ask Him to come into your heart.  He will.  He said He would and He will.  You are instantly not alone anymore when you enter the family of God.  Here’s what God says about it:

Psalm 68:6 says “Those who are without friends, God puts in families; he makes free those who are in chains…”

Do not give up.  Jesus is the answer that you seek.  Let Him comfort you – let Him love you.  He will!  He does!  He gave His very life for you!  Come home to Him today.

  1. Hi Lori I have been watching Morningside since around november when I moved to a place where I could watch TCT for free when that station would come in. I was a member of Pastor Jims PTL& Heritage USA many years ago. I never knew what happened to him until now. I heard him talk about being in his own little prison inside the cell of the prison he was in. I began to cry as I remembered all the times I too was in a prison of another kind. Psych wards. Major depression, phychosis and many “stories” along the way. Each time you all share about being prepared I want so much to do what you say and to buy everything I will need to survive, not only for me but my children and grandchildren. But I am a recent widow of an alcoholic and on disability. But I am trying to get wisdom and do whatever I can to be prepared and to be able to help others as well. I would love to be able to come and live there but then who would be here to help my loved ones and others. I am praying that I will be able to come July 4th for the celebration. I continue to pray for Gods blessing on you and your family. Love Marketa

  2. We were not alone for Thanksgiving–we went to Morningside to be with our Rose and had a great time. She is soooooo happy there and we can see her growing in Jesus and greatly maturing! We miss her but know she’s where she belongs! But please pray for her 22 year old brother who ran away from Teen Harvest there in Ava, MO just before Thanksgiving–he has chosen to be alone not only for Thanksgiving but period–I “heard” from a “friend” of his he is in a homeless shelter. Since we adopted him at age 8 we did everything we know for him. He was where HE belonged too–but chose to be alone instead. I pray he’ll go to God you blogged about above so he’ll not be alone! He so needs Jesus!
