Suspected Taliban Members Kills U.S. Troops

Two U.S. soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan by a man dressed in an Afghan police uniform. The forces attached to NATO were shot in Khas Uruzgan, about 250 miles from the capital of Kabul.

Last month the U.S. has suspended training of Afghan police because of insider attacks. Officials wouldn’t confirm that this terrorist was connected to the Taliban but said it was possible the attacker was a militant dressed in a police uniform. Continue reading

Nigeria Thwarts Islamic Terrorist Plot While Stopping Illegal Arms Shipment

Nigerian military forces have thwarted a plot to launch what they term “massive attacks” by the Islamic extremist group Boko Haram while in another part of the nation stopping an illegal shipment of arms from Russia.

Taliban Attack Kills Ten

A Taliban attack has killed at least 10 Afghani security staff.

The gun assault took place in the western city of Herat. Five policemen including the police chief and five soldiers are among the dead. Two Taliban leaders were killed.

Al-Qaeda Plot In Jordan Stopped

Eleven terrorists have been arrested in Jordan in connection to an al-Qaeda plot. The men are reported to have planned attacks on Western diplomats and high-traffic locations like shopping centers.

Officials told the BBC the attack was planned to fall on the anniversary of attacks in Amman on November 9, 2005 when three al-Qaeda terrorists made homicide bomb attacks on three hotels killing 60 people. The plot reportedly has been in the planning stages since June where al-Qaeda operatives trained the men to create homemade explosives. Continue reading
