Acapulco Flooded A Second Time In Two Weeks

Luke 21:25,26 NAS “There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay (tension from difficult circumstances that "won't move" which produces distress or anguish – causing someone to feel "locked in" or “tightly pressed”) among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting (lose morale, become disheartened, like lapsing into temporary unconsciousness) from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world...

Two weeks after dual Hurricanes led to flooding that killed 139 people, a wave of heavy rain has led to flooding that has caused serious problems for the resort city of Acapulco.

Authorities rushed to close schools and evacuate people from areas deemed “high risk” as floodwaters climbed over 3 feet deep in some areas.

The government renewed storm warnings for Guerrero state as further heavy rain is in the forecast for the upcoming week. Officials say the September is on pace to set record amounts of rainfall.

Acapulco’s airport re-opened to commercial flights on Sunday after being closed for a week due to power outages and flooding but officials say flood waters have closed one of the main access roads.

Over 20,000 people are living in shelters in Guerrero state after being evacuated. Mexican government officials are calling for donations to be made to the region to help those who have been impacted by the storms.
