Egyptian Woman and Children Sentenced To Jail For Becoming Christians

Luke 21:12 “But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.

An Egyptian woman and her seven children were sentenced to 15 years in prison for converting to Christianity from Islam.

Nadia Mohamed Ali, who had converted to Islam 23 years ago when she was married to an Islamic man, converted back to Christianity after his death. She converted in 2004 and obtained new identification cards between 2004 and 2006. When the new Islamist dominated government took over, Nadia and her family were arrested for the conversion.

The government even sentenced the registration office workers who processed the cards to prison terms for allowing the woman to renounce Islam.

“The cases will increase in the future,” Samuel Tadros of the Hudson Institute Center for Religious Freedom told the BBC. He said the new Sharia-based constitution is a “real disaster in terms of religious freedom.”

  1. Sharia Law affords no freedom except for the powers that be in their Governments. If the radical make it to the USA I wonder what the sleeping public and the Church will have to say. Here in Canada, our Ontario Premier tried to put into law the right for Muslims in the Province to practice Sharia Law. There was an outcry and the matter was dropped. That was a few years ago and it seems that in the interim the public is becoming pro Muslim and anti Semite.

    Time is ticking.
