Luke 21:9-10: [Jesus said] "When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away." Then he said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom."
The members of the European Union have agreed to suspend sales of weapons to the Egyptian military.
However, humanitarian aid to the country will continue to be provided.
“[EU members] feel very strongly that they want to continue to support vulnerable people in Egypt,” EU foreign policy head Baroness Ashton told the BBC. She urged everyone involved in the Egyptian situation to “stop the violence and provocations” and “engage in inclusive national dialogue, open to all.”
The agreement is largely symbolic as individual nations trade in arms with Egypt, the biggest Germany, France and Spain. The U.K. had already suspended some arms sales to Egypt and was championing the continuation of humanitarian funds.
U.K. Foreign Secretary William Hague said that most Egyptians want democracy.
The EU provides about $134 million in military aid each year. The U.S. provides around $1.3 billion each year plus another $250 million in other assistance.
That just sounds like the EU. Stop the army from getting arms to fight the Brotherhood. In the mean time the Brotherhood is going after the Christians and will likely keep it up. They don’t stop.
