Florida Atlantic University Backs Off Student Whistleblower

Luke 21:12 “But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.

Florida Atlantic University, facing tremendous pressure from Christians and other groups outraged over an exercise that asked students to stomp on the name of Jesus, announced Monday afternoon they would be clearing the student who blew the whistle of all charges related to violating the student code of conduct.

Ryan Rotela received a formal apology from the University for a letter that had informed him about his suspension from the class and barring him from speaking to any student that was involved in the class.

“They are wiping the record clean for Ryan. They are reinstating him for a plan to complete the course without that professor,” Ryan’s attorney, Hiram Sasser, told Fox News.

Rotela was very thankful for those who helped him.

“I have two words – thank you,” Rotela said. “If it wasn’t for all the Christians and the open-minded people who decided to call the university – I would be sitting in a room getting punished, getting sanctioned from the school and getting expelled from the university.”
