German police have broken up an Islamist Militant network after a series of Tuesday raids.
Police say they targeted a money-laundering operation that was helping to fund people plotting terrorist attacks using model aircraft.
The raids took place at apartments and homes in the early morning hours Tuesday. Anti-terror police raided homes in Stuttgart, Munich and Dachau. An internet service provider in Saxony was also raided as part of the investigation.
The center of the investigation appears to be Tunisian men who were studying flight and space technology at Stuttgart University. In addition to documents, technical equipment was found with plans to use two remote-controlled model planes to launch a terrorist attack.
No arrested have yet been announced by the anti-terrorist police force.
