Government Shutdown Makes It Illegal To Walk On National Mall

Revelation 6:5,6 NCV When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse, and its rider held a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard something that sounded like a voice coming from the middle of the four living creatures. The voice said, "A quart of wheat for a day's pay, and three quarts of barley for a day's pay, and do not damage the olive oil and wine!"

The National Parks Service has admitted that because of the government shutdown, it will be illegal for anyone to walk on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

“The mall theoretically is legally closed,” NPS Spokeswoman Carol Johnson told TheBlaze. “Now, obviously people walking across it … there is nothing much we can do, but it is legally closed.”

The NPS would not comment if people would be cited for walking on the Mall.

The NPS is taking steps to close off national monuments like the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, the Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial and the World War II memorial. Barricades will be placed around all national monuments. Fountains will be turned off.

Johnson said police will still patrol near the monuments even though they are closed to the public.
