Hong Kong Hammered By Typhoon

Luke 21:25,26    “There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

“Catastrophic calamities are coming upon the earth, not one of these days in the distant future, but soon—now! Torrential rains, unsettling weather patterns, violent storms, floods, famines, droughts, earthquakes increasing in frequency and intensity, volcanic eruptions, and a host of other signs of the times Jesus told us to watch for are happening now.”

-Jim Bakker in “Prosperity and the Coming Apocalypse”

A strong typhoon hammered China and Hong Kong overnight disrupting air travel and leaving over a hundred seeking help from area hospitals.

Hundreds of trees have been blown down and flooding has been reported in multiple areas.

Trading on the stock exchange was delayed as the storm disrupted communications and was expected to resume trading in late afternoon.

The Hong Kong government opened 24 temporary shelters as hundreds of people sought refuge from the storm.

Public transportation systems were disrupted by the storm but are expected to resume throughout the day.
