Joel 2:30 "I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, Blood, fire and columns of smoke.
“Catastrophic calamities are coming upon the earth, not one of these days in the distant future, but soon—now! Torrential rains, unsettling weather patterns, violent storms, floods, famines, droughts, earthquakes increasing in frequency and intensity, volcanic eruptions, and a host of other signs of the times Jesus told us to watch for are happening now.”
-Jim Bakker in “Prosperity and the Coming Apocalypse”
In an explosion heard three miles away, Indonesia’s Mount Lokon erupted on Sunday shooting a plume of deadly ash miles into the sky. Muddy rains have been falling in the surrounding areas since the eruption.
Scientists have been unable to detect the official height of the eruption because clouds are obscuring the mountain peak.
There are no plans for evacuation because the nearest village is more than 1.5 miles from the mountain. However, if the volcano alert level rises the “danger zone” will spread causing evacuations.
Indonesia is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire and has some of the most active volcanoes in the world. The country was also hit by a 6.3 earthquake Monday morning driving residents into the streets and causing minor damage to buildings.
