The governor of Nigeria’s Yobe state has closed all secondary schools after Boko Haram terrorists slaughtered 42 children and teachers.
The Islamic terrorists set fire to a school just before dawn on Saturday morning and then shot students who tried to flee the burning building. Survivors of the attack are in local hospitals with burns and gunshot wounds.
The attack was the third in recent weeks.
Boko Haram, whose name means “western education is sinful”, wants to create an Islamic state in Nigeria. The attacks on schools have come because the group says western education hurts their efforts to impose Sharia Law.
They have been on the defensive since a government assault began May 14th to eliminate the terror group.
Meanwhile, the UK announced that it is now illegal in their country to be a member of or to support Boko Haram.
