Mark 13:8 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
French and Malian forces captured another city in the northern part of the country as the momentum in the civil distress swings away from the Islamic terrorists trying to overthrow the government.
Troops entered the town of Hombori on Friday. The town is about 100 miles from the terrorist’s main stronghold of Gao.
French forces also carried out air strikes on rebel positions, fuel storage dumps and ammunition supplies.
However, terrorists reportedly blew up a bridge that links the eastern part of the country with Niger where African troops planned to open a front against the terrorists. Government leaders said there was another way to cross the canyon with about a six-mile detour. Forces from Niger and Chad are preparing to use that path to join the battle.
The African Union has requested UN help in the logistical problems keeping the African-led force from deploying quickly into the fight.
